Not to mention he faxed the policy to Amex and snail mailed it -- then called to make sure they got it prior to RG and GG leaving for Aruba. That policy seemed to be of utmost importance to him. Funny how someone so meticulous would be remiss in allowing a friend to take ambien and then take her snorkeling. If he knew she'd taken ambien, why would he then take 1) take her out in the first place 2) Allow her to go any deeper than he could effectively keep her safe?

The only way he would know she took ambien is if she told him or he slipped them in her juice. Point is, he knew and should be prosecuted for reckless stupidity.

And it also brings up the question, if she had taken it earlier and was observed as being woosie prior to leaving the restaurant how would she have ever lasted in the water for 1 1/2 hours??? jmo

I think any woman who had anything to do with him now would be crazy. Wonder how hard it will be to get back in business with his computers gone? jmo

Crazy, yeah, but there are plenty of insecure and stupid women out there -Ted Bundy received hundreds of pieces of fan mail while in prison, and even got engaged. Heck, GG may be flooded with nakey pics for all we know.

Yeah, but who wants pictures when they are over 65????

Knock off the bickering. If someone asks a question and you answer it - move on. You don't have to answer it 30 times and argue about it. If you ask a question and you don't get an answer - move on. Maybe no one knows the answer or they choose not to answer. Either way - they have the privilege of choice, so let it go and move on.

But don't waste 4-5 pages of posts to argue about it, okay? It's not necessary. Just move on.

whether she actually went snorkeling still needs to be proven though.

I have a nagging feeling that GG is going to walk away from this. I do not think a body will ever be found. Without that, he walks. I hope people are watching for his next big mistake.

ETA: I have to hope that he tries to cash in the insurance policy again though. Maybe the ins. investigators will dig up something. $$$ is a huge motivator.

They are still investigating so we may not see anything any time soon. If he were into something bigger that involves his computer it may take awhile. With his background who knows what he was involved with. Taking pictures without a person knowledge is what bothers me the most. What two adults do and agree to is one thing. To take pictures of someone and use those pictures against them to get what you want is a whole other issue. Maybe someone will finally connect the dots.

In today's world it's not as if you can grab some papers and burn them and there is nothing to link you back. Sure would like to know how he could show in the court papers a significant drop in his income and yet be on vacation half the time.

The insurance would never pay, IMO. He has openly admitted she was drinking and RG had taken a sleeping pill. Plus, there's no body and GG now claims she could have been kidnapped by human trafficers. I think he has "disqualified" himself quite nicely. jmo

Exactly....so it's a damned/do/don't situation for him at the end of the day.....except in Aruba.

This sounds like a good 'inconsistency' - no?? :seeya:

Yes, Niner there are quite a few. I was a victum when a man ran me off the road while exposing himself to me and could have killed me. The car behind us saw what happened and called the State Police with his marker number. It turned out to be the son of someone I worked with. I can't begin to tell how the co-worker and his friends tried to intimidate me so I would not testify in court. ....I must have enticed the poor man, what did I do to make him do such a thing? Why did I report him (they did not know someone else reported his marker number because I had no idea who he was)? Oh, yes, and other things just as bad. This was in the mid-60's.

I did not want him punished, I wanted him to get professional help which is what I told LE from the beginning and later the judge. That was his sentence, to get professional help. I, however, still continued to pay for his crime because some of my coworkers did not stop the intimidation. So you can see why I feel personally about victumizing a victum twice.

If GG is, in fact, telling the truth it will come out. I wish I had had someone to stand up for me when this happened other than a few older female workers. I had to eventually leave the company. And let me add, I was not a party girl, I went out always with a group of friends and the person I dated was in the service so I only saw him during his 30 day leave when he was home.

RG can't speak for herself. ALE will not volunteer much information, nor will the FBI in an ongoing investigation so we just have to figure out what makes sense and what does not. Given his past I don't think GG was ever a victum in anything he has done. jmo

I'm not sure what vlpate means but look how many times the man has skating on some of the crimes he has been charged with. Forging a document, stalking, threatening, stealing electronics. If he still has clients for his business what must they think? Bet they are at their attorney's office right now looking for loopholes. jmo

I sometimes think about how long Lindsey L. was in jail. They were going to get tough on her this time. What was it 5 or 9 hours????? She spent more time in the courtroom, IMO, then she did in jail. jmo

He's damned/Doomed for stating to LE she was drinking and popping ambien - no insurance payout, but explains her slow reaction (according to his story) -- and damned, after making that statement, to try and cash in on the insurance by saying (which he has), that they were a "sober couple".

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. (what I meant by "except in Aruba", there just doesn't seem to be much accountability when it comes to American girls going missing without a trace, no matter who the last person was to see her, jmo)

It's not just Americans, it is anyone who goes missing. With NH's case Joran's father was an attorney so he knew exactly what to tell his son. Plus I think Dad had a part in getting rid of NH body. I don't think JVS deliberately killed her but was responsible for her death because of what they put in her drink. They have to have a lot of evidence to convict down there, it's just there system. Had Joran stopped with her on the beach and left her there my guess is they would have never arrested him. He could have said she was fine when he left.

Anyone know how the date rape drug works. I mean how fast. I keep thinking of the man they were talking to with the tattoos and could it be possible he may have met GG out back of the restaurant and given GG the drug when he went to his car. I don't know how fast those drugs work. If this were the case it would have been nothing for GG to take RG up to the cliff area, take off her shoes and dress and just toss her over a cliff. Not an easy walk but that could make him feel exhausted as he claimed to be when he got to the restaurant. I wonder if LE found her jewelry? jmo

LC, NH and her classmates left their phones in their hotel rooms because their Nextel didn't get a signal on the island. Is this true today, and if so, is it just Nextel, or all providers?

I don't think he would need a date rape drug if he had access to her ambien. If I drank with it, you could throw me over a cliff and I would never know you picked me up. I had two glasses of wine one night before taking an ambien, four days later the ugliest coat you've ever seen arrived in the office from QVC...I totally didn't remember ordering the coat until it arrived, and then the memory was vague. If he gave her more than one, wow, dead to the world, I would imagine. I know LE probably counted the pills and inquired of her roommate or ex-boyfriend, how often she took them.

I am so sorry but this definitely was funny. I can just see the look on your face when you opened the package. To think this is what happened to Robyn is sad. I don't think she would take a sleeping pill during the day while she was on vacation. It just makes no sense.

I have Verison and I can call out and receive calls. You just let Verison know you want to be able to make international calls. It is cheaper to send a text message so that is how I keep in touch with my daughter at home while I'm there. That and the computer. He could have called and if he traveled a lot I don't see him not knowing he could use his phone in Aruba. He certainly had no problems calling the insurance company and I'm sure he used his cell phone. Hotel charge big bucks to call home. Doesn't the satellite connect you to the nearest 911 operator??? He said he did not know the number. Okay. jmo

Ambien works very fast as well. And if he gave her a double dose, she would be out like a light very quickly, and for a long time, would never know what happened. Wonder if he attacked her before she was completely overcome by the affects of whatever drug, and that's where the scratches on his neck came from. jmo

reading all this ambien stuff is making me wonder if she had the prescription for the drug before she met GG... if not, then i wonder if he somehow encouraged her to get the script, which then would also be useful for his purposes (like maybe those "beyond pornographic" pics) ... and then he found another use for them... ???

is there any way to find out when she obtained the initial script? would her b/f know and tell us?
