TIL that he went to the moon TWICE, although he never landed (Apollo 8 and Apollo 13). I kinda sorta wish he got to see us return, and say the same thing about Buzz Aldrin, with whom he traveled on a Gemini mission. My "kinda sorta" statement is that I actually believe that humankind is not supposed to go back there, and can't completely define why.
