ATTN: We need everyone to help with the upcoming search for Lindsey this Friday.

God Bless the searchers and the poor child they are looking for!

What kind of office supplies are needed?

I talked with Dawn from the LRC earlier today and she said the supplies needed are...pens, pencils and lots and lots of paper clips. Paper for faxes, for writing, notebooks, and all things that can help the volunteers organize. I forgot to mention that earlier. Her number is posted above by Trish.

Great, thanks so much!

You guys are awesome!!!!! I'm just checking in and will be watching the thread when I get a few minutes to sit down. I'm sorry I am not much help here right now but I am pulling for everyone and praying that the search will produce Lindsey or at least result in new leads.

Thank you all so much!

I spoke with one of the store clerks this evening to see if anyone had ask them for donations of any kind for this weekend and he said that he didn't know, but he would talk to the store manager tomorrow and let me know. I also ordered two giant pizzas from Paradise Pizza to be delivered to the community center on Friday around 11:30. I ask if anyone had asked them about donating, and she said no not yet but wanted some information about the search. I will check back tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening!

Thelma, Thank you for talking to Gordons and the Pizza place. I am going to Olympia tomorrow and was going to stop there on my way through instead of calling.

thank you for being one step ahead of me!

To all who are helping by purchasing supplies and donating, by calling businesses and getting them to donate, and for those who are praying, posting and supporting the search effort with their heart and soul, thank you so much. I am humbled by your actions.
Love,
Tricia

Your AWESOME Thelma - so far there are pizzas, subs, chips for Friday - the volunteers and searchers certainly will NOT go hungry. :blowkiss:

Thought I would repost the information about places to contact in McCleary - along with any progress

Pauline' from Subway would do 6' long subs for $50.00...feeds about 30. 360-495-7827 One 6 foot has been ordered and will be delivered, compliments of Websleuths, on Friday. Will do foot longs or anything people wish for.

#360-495-3119 (sp?)
Paradise Pizza (2 ex large pizzas will be delivered on Friday)
Mama Mia's
Gordy's Pizza

Gorden's Select Market (right down the street from Subway) has been very generous in helping with the searches. They may have potato chips they would throw in for a small price. #360-495-3647

NEW AUG 26th..today...Just talked to Pauline from Subway - she will deliver the 6' Subway on Friday, about 11:30am, with plenty of napkins. The vegetarian sandwiches will be labeled as such.

Pauline mentioned the largest employer in town is right across the street from the Subway, Simpson's Door Plant, #360-495-3291. Sue will be calling me back regarding what Simpson's donation will be. I will post that info. That's all for now...thanks to everyone!!! McCleary has some of the nicest people ever...what a pleasure to talk with them all. The locals on the Lindsey thread certainly represent the town well - all so nice, helpful, and caring.

ETA: 1:49 Chicago time - Just talked to Sue at Simpson's Door, she said they will donate $300.00 for the search. Right now Sue is contacting Dawn or Tricia to see where the money could be most used...food...supplies...etc. SO NICE OF THEM!!!! She suggested that we contact Cosco in Tumwater - # 360-357-9743. Sue said they are usually very generous. I'm at work, so if someone would be so kind!!! TIA

Hi JenniferO...Sorry, raining here in Chicago - just got home from work....Not that I know of...hopefully it would be posted here. Guess they would have to be contacted during the day in order to talk with the right person. mho

I was going to call but I didn't want to call if someone else already had.. ya know? It didn't want to sound like I was being pushy or something. If they had already answered the question I'm sure it would have been annoying to get yet another call.

Hopefully someone called. If not, I will tomorrow morning. Should I contact Dawn first to find out what is needed and then call Costco to find out if they would be willing to donate or give a discount. Or just call Costco directly. Also how do I prove that I am doing this for searchers (not just some random wacko saying I'm doing it for the searchers to get something free or cheap. lol) since Costco is in Olympia.. maybe they aren't aware of the searches this weekend.

I'm new to all of this and while I want to be pushy I don't want to come off as rude. LOL

I haven't posted in forever, but I do read WS every day just to check in even if I don't log on. For me, WS is like my morning on-line addiction with my coffee!

So happy to see the search for Lindsey!

I just called Dawn's ph# with LCR and another lady answered because Dawn was driving. They just landed in Seattle a while ago and were pulling into McCleary!

She said they need gift certificates for Subway and granola bars. So I'll be getting those tomorrow and bringing them to the community center tomorrow night.

Hope to meet some of the locals too!

The local WSers need to wear red carnations or something.

I'll be the old, short, fat one with brownish/red hair and glasses. lol

Well I'll be your twin then :) Shouldn't be hard to miss each other LOL.

But that's a good idea. Red carnations or a name tag!

I don't have a red carnation. But I'm sure I can find something for a name tag.
