ATTN: We need everyone to help with the upcoming search for Lindsey this Friday.

Let me help clear this up.

Yes the search is on Friday. The reason the hours are the way they are is so more people can try and fit the search into their schedule. Groups are sent out all day long at different times.

How we usually do a search is we send out the last group at 4:30 PM.

As far as searches on Saturday and/or Sunday that decision is still being discussed.

If the search continues over the rest of the weekend we will let everyone know ASAP so you can plan.

Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone.

Remember, in the press release it says if you want to help organize donations please call the Laura Recovery Center first and they can tell you what is needed. Their number is 866-898-5723.

I love you all. Thank you for pitching in.

Tricia
Just bumping up as a reminder!

WOW. You guys are amazing.

I just got off the phone with Marc Klaas and he is very impressed and extremely grateful for all the Websleuths members have done to help out. A big shout of THANKS from Marc.

Thanks in advance to the Websleuths members who are going to the meeting tonight. Let's show the local law enforcement that we care about Lindsey and won't let her disappearance be forgotten.

Members of the forum Scared Monkeys are on the scene helping out too. That is fantastic. Let's all work together to do our best to help bring Lindsey home to her loved ones.

Let me assure you that Brad Dennis with the KlaasKids Search Center and the Laura Recovery Center will give you everything you need to search. They are both very well organized and you will all know what to expect and what to do during the search.

Just got off the phone with Costco. They've been contacted by someone from McCleary about this weekends search already.

My husband is going to pass an email out around at work. He also brought up a really good idea.. calling the local radio stations. As far as my husband knows there has been nothing on the radio about tonights meeting or tomorrows search.

I'll be making that call after 1 pm when the general manager is back from lunch.

Jenny, that is a fantastic idea. Contact the radio stations.

All of them have recieved the press release but I know how they get lost in the pile being that I have worked in radio for a zillion years.

If you talk to someone at a radio station and they want more info they can call me at 801-560-1933.

The TV stations have all been spoken to and are going to be there.

I hope and pray the rest of the people in the area turn out to the meeting tonight.

Just wanted to send my positive thoughts along with all you great WSers headed to the meeting tonight and subsequent searches this weekend. Good luck, and stay strong. It won't be easy, but just remember who you are doing it for. LINDSEY. :)

I am sending every heartfelt good wish I can muster to all those at the meeting tonight and in the search tomorrow. I send an extra big heartfelt good wish to mom Baum who will experience the empathy, compassion, and expertise of first class search organizers - KlaasKIDs and Laura Recovery Center. At last, a circle of love can surround mom Baum while those dedicated to finding Lindsey search under expert guidance. Prayers and lots of hugs to you mom Baum ..searchers...and to all the dedicated people who have organized to make this happen. :blowkiss:

My prayers are will everyone as they head into tonight's meeting and tomorrow's searching. May the ANGELS be with you to guide you to Lindsey and let her come home.

I'm thinking a lot about sweet Lindsey these days. Although I am in WA, I won't be there as I am very far north. :-(. She is in my thoughts and prayers and I wish all the searchers love, prayers, and best wishes in finding this girl. My heart goes out to all suffering and those giving their time in finding her. I wish I could do more, but will look at mike's pics.

I just came from the meeting. Good to see a large crowd! We need to tell everyone about the search and hopefully we will get more people out there. They are planning to search through the weekend, so if you can't make it on Friday, then maybe Saturday or Sunday. They will have team leaders and teams. You must be 18 years old and you have to register. They will give instructions in the morning. They ask that you not bring children or dogs. I let one of the ladies know that I spoke with the owner of Gordon's Grocery and to have someone go down in the morning to pick up donations because I have to work and can't be there. Hey, did you hear that they found the young lady that has been missing for 19 years alive! There is always hope! We just need to find little Lindsey and bring her home where she belongs!
Everyone have a good evening!

Thelma, I wish I would have known which one you were. I would have said hello.

Very informative meeting tonight. We got to meet Brad, Marc and Dawn. Very nice people. I know if I was in MBs spot I would want these people on my side.
Breanna and I sat and talked a long time with Dawn (and a little bit to Brad.. I need to slip in here that Brad is very handsome and very personable.)
We have been asked to help with briefing the searchers. We will be in the Search Center tomorrow morning.. and I'm attempting to make it possible for me to be there Saturday and Sunday also.
Due to the nature of what Breanna and I are going to be doing we have been asked to refrain from discussing the searches and the going ons at the search center. Soo.. I will probably read the forums this weekend but I doubt I will post. I don't want to slip up and say something I shouldn't.

I also had a long talk with Kara.. we discussed what happened on her Myspace blog, (which, btw I found out today that Myspace removed those posts and I believe they deleted the account they were coming from.), we also discussed the forums and she appreciates the things websleuths have done and the respect they (we) show for her, her family and her friends. That's not the feelings she has towards "other" websites similar to WS.

I took a few pictures but not many.. I made the mistake of sitting in the 3rd row instead of the back. I didn't want to turn around and take pictures of people. I thought it might be rude. lol

Anyway, MB held up well. She got up and talked about Lindsey. Josh was there. He is selling CDs (of Lindseys song) and I promised to buy one from him tomorrow. I don't want to talk unkindly about Josh. He seems like a really nice boy.. but I do believe he is probably Aspergers.. probably on the high end of the spectrum. He reminds me a lot of my nephew who is about the same age who has it. I don't know how to explain how he was. It seems he knows what is going on but at the same time he really has no clue of the degree of what is going on.

Anyway, it was kind of emotional. Hearing the story from Marc about his daughter Polly and hearing MB talk about Lindsey. As I was telling people tonight.. my youngest daughter resembles Lindsey (they even have many of the same tastes from clothing to books to music). I just keep thinking that this could have been my child.

They need volunteers.. they need searchers. Marc Klaas said he wanted at least 300 people.. by the looks of how many showed up tonight I don't think we are going to hit that number.

So.. I'm texting, calling, Myspacing, Facebooking every single person I know in the local area (hell I even contacted my husbands ex wife who lives 200 miles away. her and her husband are going to be here Saturday to search) to come help out. I'm asking them to call their friends and have those friends call their friends.

BRING LINDSEY HOME!

Thanks for sharing all of that, JenniferO! Sad to hear that you won't be posting this weekend, but very understandable. Way to step up to the plate and take on such a huge role! I do hope that the number of searchers surprises everyone and is huge. Good luck to you and everyone else. Looking forward to hearing what you have (and are allowed) to say after the weekend!

I was quite shocked when Dawn and Brad approached us about it. Very honored.. yet very shocked.

Thank you. :)

I am sorry bout not doing anything but I did post on one of the sites the information for contacting the different businesses locally. I will see if anyone called Everybody's Market in Elma for donations as well as the Elma Variety store tomorrow. I don't have any extra money to help since on unemployment..sigh

Thanks for covering all that Jennifer! You did a great job summing it all up. But you forgot...we are supposed to say Dawn looks just like Jennifer Aniston, and yes, Brad is really a real person. LOL. And Marc Klaas is just a nice man and when he talks people listen. He knows what he speaks.

It was nice meeting Jennifer and Kona tonight and I'm glad I got off my duff and did something!

Ya know...tonight really brought home for me a sense of caring and community and that Lindsey is really in good hands with that group of people. If anyone can bring her home, they can.

Anyway....so glad I am able to help.

And yes. They need searchers! Lots of searchers.

for everyone who is doing all they can do for Lindsey

THANK YOU

:blowkiss:

Thanks to all the searchers and those providing whatever help and support that they may. May you be blessed!! May Lindsey be brought home soon.

I'm very impressed with the KlaasKids Foundation and Laura Recovery Center folks. They are professional, skilled, and dedicated.

Anyone who participates in this search will be getting a world class education and guidance in search techniques - all of us at the meeting could tell that Brad Dennis and the rest really know what they are doing.

Melissa Baum's words to us were touching, authentic, and many of us were wiping our eyes as she spoke, as we were when Mark Klaas spoke also.

My prayers are with Lindsey, her family, community, and all who are working to find her.

I'm hoping to make it out to search today...depends on finding childcare...but my thoughts are with everyone out there...
