ATTN: We need everyone to help with the upcoming search for Lindsey this Friday.

I'm very impressed with the KlaasKids Foundation and Laura Recovery Center folks. They are professional, skilled, and dedicated.

Anyone who participates in this search will be getting a world class education and guidance in search techniques - all of us at the meeting could tell that Brad Dennis and the rest really know what they are doing.

Melissa Baum's words to us were touching, authentic, and many of us were wiping our eyes as she spoke, as we were when Mark Klaas spoke also.

My prayers are with Lindsey, her family, community, and all who are working to find her.
Even the men are reporting it was a real tearjerker of a meeting last night. Look at all the ways Lindsay has touched so many people. She would be amazed to know how many care and are out doing everything they can to find her and bring her home.

I am glad to know more about the Laura Recovery Center people as I am not familiar with their organization. After the experience with KFN, I am skeptical until first hand information comes around about a group coming in to to offer assistance to families. Of course, we do know about KlaasKids and know they are a wonderful, legitimate group. Bravo to both for answering the call to search for Lindsay!:clap::clap:

Hi everyone - I just had a call from Pauline, Subway in McCleary. Such a wonderful person. Pauline said she delivered the 6' Subway donated by Websleuths and she and her husband threw in a 3 footer as their donation. Pauline labeled the subs that were vegetarian and made signs displaying who they were from. She is such fun!!!

Pauline said Pat, from 'Simpson's Door Plant' across the street, called wanting to know about ordering Subs for tomorrow's (Sat) search. Simpson's Door Plant donated $300.00 for the search and in talking to Pat yesterday was trying to connect directly with Dawn from LRC. Hope she did!! So, if there is a search tomorrow, Simpsons will donate more subs. I love small towns...everyone is so very friendly and caring.

I want mom Baum, the searchers, and the wonderful coordinators to know I'm there in spirit and wish for a successful search. Hang in there mom Baum - this has got to be a tough day for you. :blowkiss:

Fantastic news!! Thanks, Eye!!! She does sound like a neat person making a sign and all. What a gal! :woohoo:

It is also great about Simpson's donation for the search and tomorrow's subs, too!! I wonder if they are going to donate to other food places as well? It would be such a nice gesture plus it helps out the local economy. Bravo!!:clap::clap:

IM in tears to day thinking about MoM Baum......we have child care issues as well.....i have a knot in my throat that wont go away...... i want her to know that there is so many that care about her...we are working on helping tomorrow.....

I so desperately want this for MoM Baum

Woow that is great. It is very nice see a town come together to help others out in any way they possibly can. I have been sitting here hoping, that they are able to find something even if its just a little clue, and I am wondering how things are going. I can only imagine how Lindsey's family feeling at this time. My prayers go out to LB's family, friends and the searchers for all the support strength and courage of this day. Its a very emotional day for all. Thank you all everyone for all you have done to bring LB back home. GOD bless

I just wanted to say I first started sleuthing Lindsey's case here when it first came about but I had to back away as it's too close to home for me (literally and figuratively). I was hoping to get time off work to help search but to no avail. I'm trying to recruit some friends/family to go down there this weekend to help out any way they can. Meanwhile, I scan photos, burn candles, and hope for anything that will lead to Lindsey being found. Thanks everyone for staying with this case even when others had to back away (namely me).

1000 flyers asking for more volunteers to come search for Lindsey are going out this weekend on top of pizza box's!

I contacted Bob at the LRC center who put me in contact with Sandy to see what I could do to help this weekend......I wanted to go search by foot but couldn't make it today ....I don't know about the rest of the weekend.....we are still trying......there were about 60 searchers today....but they need at least 300...

Bob mentioned that they had in the past made up flyers and had local pizza places stick them on the top of the pizza box's......a light bulb went off in my head.....hubby was able with permission from Sandy to use part of Lindsey's Missing flyer and cut and paste the info about the search going on this weekend....he then made a great flyer.....i went and had them printed *with a discount from the printers* and took them to the pizza place........:)

im happy to say that they are being delivered to families homes as im typing :)

I will post a pic of the flyer as soon as I can ......if my computer will cooperates

i forgot to add......its in Olympia where the flyers are going out :)

I'm not sure if it would help anyone, but I use VistaPrint for my business for business cards, postcards and some other things. With checkout codes, tons of things free (shipping is the only thing you have to pay for) and I get sent e-mail flyers every week/month with the checkout codes.

I was just thinking it would be good for anyone who wanted to make up some more things to get the word out. I see where they now offer banners and lawn signs. Another good thing they have (that I use for my busin. too) is magnetic car signs.

OH MY GOD. You are AMAZING. You are a very giving and wonderful person. Thank you for going the extra mile.

TO EVERYONE;

I am beyond impressed I am moved to tears at your actions. All of you, even those who could only post and pray, did something and continue to do something for an innocent girl you don't know. That's what makes you so warm and wonderful.

Your actions humble me and leave me speechless :)

This is NOT directed towards anyone on this board who is in the McCleary area.

While I'm so glad we had 205 searchers this weekend.. I'm angry (no make that pissed off) that very few were from McCleary

Subway and Simpson Door company are amazing companies for doing what they did. But the rest of the town.. well lets just say I have no respect for most of them.

We had searchers come from Oregon (Amber Dubois aunt), California (Amber Dubois mom-she took time out of her own searching to help), Texas (Dawn and Sandy from LRC), Florida (Brad from Klaaskids) Castle Rock/Toutle, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Olympia, Shelton, Centralia, Enumclaw, Spokane, Everett, Renton, Seattle. I can't even remember them all...but very few from McCleary. It's a town of 1500 people, if even half would have shown up just think of the work we could have gotten done?

I'd love to hear the excuses as to why the town was bustling with activity yet no one found the time to come search.

Wonder how they'd feel if they were treated like this if something happened to their child.
Shame on you McCleary residents.

I think I'll write a letter to the editor of the local papers.

I agree with you Jen it is very sad... When I heard that there wasn't a big turn out on Friday I thought that was because most people would be working but what was the excuse for Saturday and Sunday? Also where was her father and his family?

Yep, friday I figured people were working. Saturday and Sunday looked to be a big garage sale and out running around kind of day.

I can only base my opinion on the father by what MB has said about him. I don't have both sides of the story so I'll just keep my mouth shut. You know that whole 'if you can't say something nice...' yeah, that fits here. ;)
