I didn't see a thread for her anywhere, sorry if its a duplicate. What initially seemed like a head on accident just may turn out to be murder/suicide (IMO). What do you guys think?

Horror crash that killed mum and four kids has left police baffled as investigation widens | Daily Mail Online

A horror car crash that killed a Queensland mother and her four children may not have been an accident.

Police have revealed they are investigating why there were no skid marks from the vehicle of Charmaine McLeod when her car slammed head first into an oncoming truck on the Bunya Highway near Kumbia, on Monday night.

I hope she didn't kill them on purpose. What a terrible thing if so.

ETA: After reading the article, seems she was very overwhelmed with her life and didn't feel supported. She also mentioned being a victim of domestic abuse. I think she did it purposely.

Yes, I'm afraid this is a Jennifer Hart type case. If you read the article and see the recent family history, you will see where I'm coming from

Did the note just blow out of the car after the accident? Thats just horrific. To be that depressed or whatever that you decide to kill your own children with and place the life of a truck driver you don't even know in danger. Its a miracle he wasn't killed as well.

A Queensland woman suspected of driving head-on into a truck in a bid to kill herself and her four young children had posted on Facebook that Child Safety officials were investigating the family.

Police are now treating the death of Charmaine Harris McLeod, 35, and her children Aaleyn, 6, Matilda, 5, Wyatt, 4 and Zaidok, 2, as a murder-suicide.

Was just coming to post that :(
And the poor truck driver....he was burned while trying to save the children. This woman also ended that mans life as he knew it. He will never be the same

I live about 2 hours away from this accident. Unfortunately in Australia, occasionally people deliberately crash into trucks to commit suicide. Through our business we know of a few truck drivers this has happened to, terribly traumatic. :(

terrible that truck drivers have to worry about somewhat committing suicide by crashing into them

those beautiful kids look so happy in pictures

Omg that's just terrible. And i agree about them looking happy. From all accounts, she was a wonderful mom who lived for her kids. She just seemed to feel alone. I like to think that those kids knew love and happiness. So many don't

Two very different stories about her church helping her? Didn’t even offer her a scrap of bread? Yet the church says they brought food, watched the kids and set up counseling. Not sure what was going on.

She also mentions a lot of surgeries- wonder what was the medical condition that warranted multiple surgeries. Perhaps she was on medication?

Perhaps she had increased her speed to pass a vehicle and didn’t see the truck in time?

I can’t imagine deliberately crashing full speed into a truck with children inside my vehicle. So very sad :(

Strange that it's so quiet on this forum about this incident. When a mother murders her 4 children it's very eerie, you can almost hear the crickets chirping, but when a man kills a child, wife or girlfriend, there's outrage on this forum. It's a shame. All you'll hear is EXCUSES and more EXCUSES. IMO

The truck driver overtaken by a Queensland mum moments before her car smashed killing herself and her four children has shed new light on the horror crash.
Police initially said Ms McLeod, 35, and her children Aaleyn, 6, Matilda, 5, Wyatt, 4 and Zaidok, 2, died after the mum was trying to overtake a truck.

But according to the driver, Ms McLeod had already passed him before the crash.
“I must clear something up that is unfair on this poor family,” the driver said.
“This poor mother was not overtaking me, absolutely nothing in my witness statement suggests she was overtaking me. I was right behind her and although I won’t discuss anything I saw with anyone other than the detective in charge, I will not let this family think she overtook me dangerously. She did not. Fact.”
Homicide detectives were called in late last week to join the specialist crash team with police revealing last week they were investigating the crash as a potential murder-suicide.
Police also found Ms McLeod’s handbag 200m back from the horrific scene, believed to have contained a note penned by the mum-of-four, according to The Courier-Mail.
Mum was driving ‘very safely’ before crash

There seem to be plenty of people coming out saying the church was trying to help her a lot.

Oh that poor, sweet, tormented truck driver. What he must have witnessed :(

ETA: Apparently TWO different truck drivers. The list of victims grows

yea, I have been a little confused about the truck(s). The articles haven't been really clear as to what happened.

There was a truck behind her that she had apparently passed safely a few minutes prior to the accident. That driver is stressing that she did not overtake him in a dangerous manner and doesn't want her family to think she was being careless (?!!)
Then she hit another truck head on in his lane. That driver is the one who got burned trying to save the babies :(
