The man who made the Crimestopper's report has spoken exclusively to NT News. He said threats had been made to kill Ms. Pearce-Stevenson and a bounty of up to $5000 was offered for information on her whereabouts.
This informant had moved in with Karlie's 80 year old grandmother to look after her. He and the grandmother were both charged with possession of cannabis in August 2010.
This bloke's story just gets better with each reporting! If, as he says, death threats were made to Karlie, why didn't he go to the police and report it at the time? Why wait for years and then contact Crimestoppers and also speak exclusively to a newspaper?
He also dumped the dirt on Karlie's grandmother. IMO all of the cannibis belonged to the him. He persuaded her to take the rap for some of it to lessen his sentence. Karlie and her grandmother are no longer here to defend themselves. Very convenient for the informant IMO.
I personally don't believe a word of what this informant has to say but I would love to know the reason why he's talking now.
