I am building up a map with where people lived and where transaction and impersonations took place.
I need help locating a more extensive list of the card use trail.
Purple is living and hospital..Green impersonation and card use.
Already it has a pattern.

good stuff, plongi... geoprofiling. ( first incidence of that being used was in England after the Yorkshire Ripper murders and the investigation into the failures of detection ... based on the rationale, that every murderer leaves a base and goes out to commit the murder, and all of it's accompanying paraphernalia of crime, like fraud, theft, etc. . ( not those murderers who do the murder at home, naturally, although they are subject to these laws of nature also) ).

The basis of it was, that the shortest distance, between the criminals place of residence, their base, the place they go back to, just like everyone else does after a days work or a days outing, usually confirms the location of residence. That there is a circular pattern generally, within the crime, the residence and the tidying up of the crime. The centre of it being the residence and the outer limits of the circle being the distance this particular criminal follows. whether that's a choice , or forced by circumstances of time and vehicle, or other pressing inroads into time.

I'm looking at that process you have in your map, which is rather beautifully done, in the respective placements of the two bodies, one in ACT and one in SA. .. geoprofiling stuff. Keep it up!

'I need help locating a more extensive list of the card use trail. ' don't we all, plon.... According to Des Bray, there are upwards of 1200 transactions re Karlie's card after her death., the police have only released those which they are most interested in , as far as I can find. I would give anything to have the whole list, but there you are.

What we need is a terrific hacker, of course that would be a baaaaaad thing, and not something I would encourage, except every now and then, that wish manifests itself subconsciously, ... I fight it down , though.

( the claim re the Canadian chap being first with this is somewhat misleading, insofar as he had the use of GPS, the bloke who first floated the concept was a British scientist who had been a navigator in the RAF, and took his process from those principles used in three dimensional navigation ) ..

'Imagine being able to use geographic logic to ferret out a serial criminal’s home. One person, a former police detective from Vancouver, Canada did exactly that. Geoprofiling (or geographic profiling) is a concept first proposed by Kim Rossmo in his doctoral thesis while at British Columbia’s Simon Fraser University. The crux of Rossmo’s mathematics equation is a psychological theory called the least-effort principle. This concept proposes that criminals tend to commit acts of crimes within a comfort zone located near but not too close to their residence. With at least five or six incidents traceable back to the perpetrator, Rossmo’s algorithm reduces the search area for the criminal’s residence by more than 90 percent.

Key locations are weighted and then geocoded onto a map. The end process is known as a “jeopardy surface”, a map that resembles a topographical map showing peaks and valleys color ramped to highlight the most likely area where that criminal resides.

All I have is the card and impersonation to go on. Relative to that .. Belanglo and Wynarka are not on the fraud track. Although Belanglo is on the way to the South Coast from Canberra.
But this Adelaide picture is fairly damming.

Cool. Well it makes sense to me. I used to go orienteering when I was a kid so I think like a compass i guess.
I will in the near future put it all in one big map.

I was trying to find a connection between Kippax and Deakin in Canberra. Both places have Touch Footy fields and Both have branch's of a Physio Specialist.

just to add , to explain the lack of link re the British scientist etc, that information comes from the book 'Wicked Beyond Belief' by Michael Bilton , published by Harper, 2003. Page 301 to 307.

Very good article. It helps to see the patterns in life. Well be it an awful side of life in this instance.

I was tending to go with the idea that Belanglo is about 1.45 minutes from Canberra, and Wynarka is approx. 1.45 mins from Adelaide.. slim pickings, I admit. it just seemed like a days run out and back for both bodies. In one sense. But your map re Adelaide and the incidences and locations is terrific.

what I like about the concept , is the 'least effort ' principle, which has huge footprints all over this crime, or, in fact, these crimes against Karlie and Khandalyce.. at every point it seems the point of least effort was expended...even phone calls to Colleen , the texts and calls to the cousins, etc, the sashaying out with Karlie's card and pin number, even the effort of impersonating Karlie at Centrelink is easier than holding up a bank...

Yep Good connection.

Kossmo's concept of 'comfort zone' is intriguing ,also, .. extrapolating this to Holdom and by extension, the female impersonator, with your map on this thread, Plongi, it makes it visible. Stuart Kind was the Brit Scientist with the air navigation principle referred to above, his guiding basis was the 'centre of gravity'.. not the crime, or crimes, but the 'centre of gravity' for the criminal. .. the place where he/she returned to and left from, and how long it took to get to where the crimes took place, and by what method. How long it took to get back. What time of day it took place, etc..

and the comfort zone.. the 'centre of gravity' in both these concepts leans towards somewhere not too close but not too far away.

I wonder what address was used for the ABN? And who actually lived at that address? Hmm.

I think, we could need a map including all ABNs with location/s, maybe in connection with the map which Plongi will provide us. Perhaps the dumping place Wynarka can be circled?

Do we know for sure that she is a paraplegic? I just googled her name with the word paraplegic and didn't get one hit that included that word.

No, I do not believe we do know that. All I have read says she was "left wheelchair bound" .... "left paralysed". I also do not believe that we know if this paralysis was temporary/permanent/reduced in severity over time and physio.
It certainly would not in any way interfere with the ability to commit fraud, anyway ... if that is the case. This person gets around very well, and certainly is able to speak on the phone, sign documents, attend meetings, make ATM withdrawals.

Wow now THAT would take some front wouldn't it! I would have thought that the Dept of Transport would have Karlie's original pic on file and would update it when a new one is required. Photo ID being such a prized commodity and there are very few categories of it which are acceptable under the points system. Breathtaking as that would be as a part of their bold fraud, I just honestly can't see them pulling that part off ?

It was easy to doctor a NT drivers license back in 2006 my cousin showed me his fake one. I couldn't tell the difference.
Also in some remote places photos weren't required on drivers licenses.
Someone could have had just the temporary paper receipt for the new license or obtained a SA license with say a birth certificate, especially if no SA license was previously had because they had a valid NT license.

I don't know when the data sharing between agencies started I know when I was on sole parent payments in 2006/2007 I had to report my income fortnightly. Then Centrelink checked it with the tax office come tax time.

Yes but I'm a bit lost lol - what questions are you asking and I'll do my best to answer. What is the purple line please?

Brown is for a straighter route to Southern Adelaide..green to continue through to Northern Adelaide and is Blue a viable alternative to Southern Adelaide.

Which way through Wynarka travelling from Canberra or from up North.
Anyone drive these roads.

Kippax Fair is the closest mid-range shopping centre to Charnwood ACT. The largest shopping centre in the area would be Belconnen.

Deakin, I'm not so sure about. I'll call my Mum tomorrow and see if she can make a connection. She lives in the ACT.
