Simply thrown away without thought? I'm predicting disposed of in a blind panic by someone who couldn't walk.

For sure, sleep, you know I hold you in high regard and, yes, LE need the why but they and we know just about everything else; except where Karlie and Khandalyce were between 2006-2008. How do we do sleuth this sleep? If we don't have an idea why Karlie and Khandalyce may have been murdered where do we sleuth? What do we discuss? Basically, MSM/LE pressers have been exhausted as sources. Where do you propose we go from here?
what point would a 'why' make? would you believe any reason given by a murderer??..
no one needs a motive.. not the police, not the state prosecutor and certainly not the jury, and I don't need one, either.. no motive that is explained to me by the killer is going to cut it, anyways.. and since the murders appear illogical, I can only presume that any motive the killer comes up with is going to be riddled with illogic of the kind that will bring tears of acid to my eye.
Well, in a way we've been discussing just that this afternoon when we've talked about DJH. It is bringing tears to my eyes because we have had many posts about alleged child sex trafficking without any reference to that in MSM at all. About whether Karlie was allegedly murdered to get to a precious little girl as a 'replacement' for other innocents who have passed away. That's talking about 'Why?', Troop and, I'm sorry I don't find that palatable or relevant given the lack of a source. With all due respect.
From the same article:
It would be hard to determine how Karlie was left after a bushfire.
She could have been well covered but we can't know that for sure.
We don't know "just about everything else", we only know what LE have allowed us to know, what MSM have been able to dig up and what we have been able to find out for ourselves which isn't much.
We don't need to write a Murder Mystery Novel, we can only discuss what we are permitted to discuss, as per Websleuths Rules.
My suggestion would be go over everything you know as fact and work from there - it's a waiting game from here on, be patient.
At some point in Holdom's trial, the matter of motive will be referred to, perhaps, it isn't compulsory and is outside the brief of a Prosecutor, but some Prosecutors do refer to motive, sometimes in the opening address, sometimes in the summing up area of the trial.
The Defence will often point to a lack of obvious motive as a pointer to the defendants innocence.. this may be referred to many times in the defence section of the trial..
but what every human knows, there is a motive . It resides deep within the psyche of the killer, and mostly, it remains there, as motive , for a defendant is an iffy business, it can go one way or the other, and is usually best left out altogether.
Of course, Holdom may decide to persuade a jury that his motive to kill Karlie is a justifiable one.. I cant recall any time that has been a success in murder trials over many years.. it would be against his barristers advice.
Sorry Bohemian. I didn't see it from that perspective. I will refrain. It's been a dark day.

To my understanding motive can lend weight to intent which can be the difference between murder and manslaughter?

Thank you, Wolfie. Not only has today been a dark day but all week; all around the world.
maybe to Holdom, being 'tucked away behind a log' is the equivalent of burial.. if you are talking about a 6ft x 3 ft grave, with an engraved headstone, 'here lies Karlie, killed by me in a fit of fury'... well. sure. it isn't , if one has to be extremely pedantic , not a burial in the local cemetery process.. but to a murderer.. taken to a forest, deep into a forest, tucked behind a log.. well. that may be considered a terrific burial.
Could it be a post mortem attempt to destroy identifying features?
we get a clue as to how the State Prosecutor is thinking about Holdom's intent and motive and the State's intention in pursuing conviction, in the fact that he has been charged with the Murder of Karlie. Not the manslaughter of Karlie.
Quick update for those who like to know this stuff ...HP's car is now registered (till 1/2/16). Good to see someone was listening
Funnily enough that date matches 3 months to the date this issue was brought up on this forum. You can buy 3 and 12 month registrations in SA.
Coincidence I'm sure ..
Any quick tips how to BBM in Tapatalk? I'm hopeless!

Yes, Ilk, that is what it is looking like.
The work of the police now is tracking down who the various associates are and interviewing each one.
And let's face it, they are not going to be people who readily cooperate with a police investigation.
