Stacks of stones like that are common in central australia. Probably in that area as well. I'd say not linked to the case. But not something I can talk about.

That makes sense.

It looks the underside of wide brimmed hat to me, with orange trim around it.

It's quite a high res photo so you can zoom in on it a fair bit before it gets blurry. I reckon it's a hat too - a broad brimmed fabric one like those traditionally used as kids' school uniform hats. It looks like the underside of the hat with a light coloured cord hanging down to me.

I spotted a small pile of rocks stacked up by the roadside on google maps (image taken 2010), so perhaps it's a common thing to see in that area?

Quite possibly could have been the land owner if he was going to start using the paddock for something..

I grew up in Cape Jaffa (rural SA) we regularly used to pick up rocks and stack in a pile so dad would avoid them if he was on the farm truck/grading the paddock etc.

Strange that they haven't stated the gender of the child......they would know by now wouldn't they ?

Man wanted after child's body found on Karoonda Highway near Wynarka

A group of local woman have told police they saw a man aged about 60 and neatly dressed walking towards the highway and crossing a railway line about six to eight weeks ago, while they were out on a morning walk. The man was also seen by another resident of the town.

Detective Superintendent Des Bray, from South Australia Police, said the man did not engage with the women, which they thought was odd in a small country area.

"He was carrying a dark coloured suitcase in one hand, and he was carrying it as opposed to wheeling it.

"[The women] didn't recognise this person as a local and they haven't seen him since."

SOUTH Australian police have not ruled out a possible connection between remains of a child found in bushland off the Karoonda Highway and the case of missing toddler William Tyrrell who disappeared from Kendall last year.

A South Australian police spokesman on Thursday said they were making inquiries in all states in relation to the discovery but were not isolating the possible Tyrrell connection.

"We are still waiting for forensic results (to determine the age and sex of the victim)," he said

Channel7 news update said SAus police are investigating the child's remains are that if missing NSW toddler William Tyrrell.

LE would have to inform ALL relatives & authorities BEFORE this information was released to the public.

The remains might have been wrapped in an old towel or something which would be in a horrific state.
Maybe an older person doubted themselves and couldn't believe what they thought they saw or smelled and had to tell their spouse.

I would hesitate calling the police if I thought it might have been animal remains especially if ligatures were wrapped around it.

It's extremely strange for someone on foot to carry a suitcase from a town and then into the scrub.
Was he hitchhiking and couldn't get a lift? Did he hide the bag thinking he'd come back at a later time?

It's really odd but murderers are odd.

To me that would make the most sense since he was in broad daylight. Just weird!

Was hoping I would wake up this morning and find that they had more answers....But there are probably things that are being kept quiet also. So sad for this sweet child :(

Yes As they should. Feel horrible for William's family and all other families that this little one may belong to.

If it is William I am trying to place when BS was in jail according to the reports of when the man was seen. Some of the reports are saying 2 1/2 months ago, some 2 months. The age of the man is just so coincidental. Seems like most of the arrests lately have been of men in the same range.

Suitcase.
Walking.

I'm thinking of the people with the screaming child at the caravan park.

Could someone get asthma medication for a missing child?

Filthy rotten mongrels!
