Shoppers called police to a shopping center in Hurstville, Sydney, Saturday after spotting a little girl locked in a hot car and 'not moving'.

Police who smashed a window and got the two-year-old out found her unconscious but still alive. She was treated for dehydration at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Surprisingly, no arrest was made. Instead:

A 36-year-old man has been interviewed by police who intend to serve him with a court attendance notice for leaving a child unsupervised in a motor vehicle.
