Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

I'm wondering if it's possible that Gus walked into the dam carrying something quite heavy, and didn't realize that he needed to let go of it?

No. I don't think so.

I have a question.
Maybe it is morbid one,
so I'm sorry in advance :(

Generally speaking...
Not exactly in this case as I doubt Gus is in the dam.

I wonder if a body is found in an enclosed pool of water,
wouldn't such water be contaminated and not fit to use?
I understand this water is used for animals to drink
and maybe also utilized by people on the property.

Isn't such water epidemiological hazard/threat?

🤔

Yes, a body in a dam can contaminate the water, making it unsafe for animals and people due to the presence of pathogens and other substances released

The same for a dead animal

I asked
because people are talking about pumping this water into other dams.

I don't think they will, as they want to check every detail mixed with a lot of vegetation.
On the news, it looks like there is still some water left in the other dams.

  • His mother and grandmother were tending to their sheep herd about 10 kilometers away when he disappeared, reports the Daily Mail.

Hopefully the authorities did check on small aircraft like ultralights and helicopters operating near by

No. I don't think so.
It's been stated he had a shovel ,could he have had a bucket or gone to get a bucket to get water and fell in

Pulling a gun on a female journalist ... why??
Decline to comment and get on with your day.

There has been nothing suggesting this.

Mom was working with the sheep 10 kms (miles?) down the farm, and Grandmother was in the house making dinner and caring for baby Ronnie.

Unless they are getting constantly hassled

Also dunno the trans relevance in this article/ it’s annoying
How is it not relevant? I'd imagine they're using it to differentiate between the two grandmothers.

Also, you cant pull a gun on someone. That's ridiculous. There are better ways to handle it.

Shannon declined to comment. I can understand getting frustrated with journalists around but there's no need to wave a gun.

Ms Bray had offered her condolences to Gus's other grandmother Shannon Murray, who declined to comment, and was leaving the property when the weapon was pulled on her.
Josie's wife Shannon explained she had the situation under control, however, when Ms Bray appropriately identified herself, Josie appeared to become enraged and waved the gun around

To me it seems to be very possible, if little Gus went there, because it is close enough to the home. But I'm asking myself: Why did he even start his adventurous way to the dam (if)? Is the walk there somehow exciting for a little 4yo boy?

I can imagine he'd seen it, knew where it was, it was warm weather and he wanted to paddle or swim in it. Perhaps he knew it wasn't allowed so went off on his own. Absolutely the sort of thing I can imagine doing as a kid tbh

Apologies in advance for the repetition. I wanted to emphasise that the source of today's update in the media is direct from the SAPOL website.

The Police update carries today's date, therefore as of today the police's info to the public remains unchanged; they *have not* found any evidence of foul play. I interpret that (Moo) as no evidence found of things like: °abduction/3rd party involvement; °cover up;°suspicious lying by parent; °suspicious lying by grandparent; °traces of suspicious adult activity near a dam/around the homestead...etc, etc, etc. JMO.

Updated 30th Oct 2025.
"Task Force Horizon is conducting multiple lines of inquiry to locate Gus. These investigations have not uncovered any evidence of foul play.

The family of Gus have continued to cooperate fully with police
and are being supported by a victim contact officer." (my emphasis,).

Up until today I avoided the obvious social media sites. My very quick perusal just now revealed a sizeable amount of unsupported foul play theories out there, many of which by obvious insinuation seek to implicate the family, especially the grandma.

All this for a family who police continue to inform us is fully cooperative, and where no evidence of foul play has been uncovered. Moo, but obviously Gus' parents and extended family would do well to take steps to avoid exposure to this sort of social media if possible.

Below was posted up thread a few days ago, but reposting for Nicole Morris' (from Missing Person's Registry) insights.
