Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

Pardon my ignorance but what does that acronym mean? I've seen it and BBM being used but I've struggled to work it out on my own and Google hasn't been much help 😅

Look at the top of the Missing Person Discussion forum page, and you will see a link for "Websleuths Lingo." You should be able to find most of the
acronyms listed there.

Yeah, I noticed that mention of dogs being brought in were reported within the last day or two as well as the tracker, but you're so right - these methods may have been much more effective if they were utilised much earlier on.

I can't help but think of all the foot traffic and scouring that could have potentially disturbed signs that a tracker could have picked up. JMO.

- on page 4 of this thread, Sazza provided screen shots from 7 News footage which showed a sign in front of the residence, which read "Oak Park".

There's an Oak Park Road 20kms south of Yunta.

Using Google Earth, I noticed several properties and small stations as well as multiple dams dotted along Oak Park Road, however I was unable to discern whether any of these are related to this case.

The property may not even be on or close to Oak Park Road at all. This is all just MOO.
My apologies.. the correct name is Oak Park.

The news coverage showed this sand pit when mentioning where Gus was playing.

Don't see any toys. What he was playing with?

I wish a tracker was brought in earlier. Have they used dogs as well yet?
Hope is fading, but there are dams on site, so who knows? Do we know how far away the dams and water tanks are from the home?
Hoping for a miracle for little Gus.
Dogs have been used and divers have searched all dams etc and they have stated dams are at very low levels at the moment

Saturday, September 27

“Gus was last seen playing in a mound of dirt with a little shovel in his hand at the front of the homestead on the remote station about 5pm, according to police.

When his grandmother went to check on him, he was nowhere to be seen.”

I was thinking he could be drinking from the dams if he's still with us.

It can be quite common in rural properties to have a lot of "stuff" lying around, which I did note appeared to be the case in pics we've seen of this property. I sure hope every last spot he could be hidden in has been checked. I don't recall many details but there was a case a while back where 1 or 2 little boys went missing in a remote Aboriginal village somewhere in outback Australia. Turns out they were playing in an old abandoned car on the property. I believe one or both died, and I also believe the car had been searched prior, but not well enough as I think one or both were found in the footwell.

I just googled the case, here it is:

When I zoom out around the area, the name of what seems to be THE property appears……. not sure but it looks similar IMO
