SUPPOSEDLY
But if the mum is not a suspect, why would she give a statement to police that she was sheep sheering with trans grandma (assuming this is how police gathered their info)?

I just read this…

I anticipate there will be further searches at Oak Park Station and at several sites on an adjacent national park to locate Gus as new information and intelligence comes to hand as the investigation continues,'' Fielke said.

Only three people were on the property at the time of Gus' disappearance, Fielke said.

😳 😳 😮

Maybe she was coerced or wasn’t aware - the parents both searched for Gus. Imo

What evidence would there be that he didn't wander off?

ETA: Sorry, I think I worded this awkwardly. I thought he was pretty clear that there was no evidence that he wandered off and that they don't believe that that's what happened. So I'm wondering what you heard that was different from what I heard.
I was just trying to be fair, but I hadn't read the latest articles when I posted.
I have updated my post.

Could possibly be at Pualco Range Conservation Park which borders on to Oak Park Station and has a locked gate to seperate the 2 places OR Bullyaninnie Station which is apart of SM's family.

“I anticipate there will be further searches at Oak Park Station and at several sites on an adjacent national park to locate Gus as new information and intelligence comes to hand as the investigation continues,’’ Det. Supt. Fielke said.

This would be SM, Gus and his little baby brother. To me it sounds like they are questioning SM's version of events...ie Gus playing in the sandpit. IMO

Here we GO! LE is finally saying publicly, what many of us have been thinking all along.

That sweet boy did not just wander away. And it was not an abduction by strangers or sheep shearers.

Something very bad happened close to home!
& gosh, wasn't anyone who suggested that scenario here in the early days, howled down & criticized

Where did you read that the grandparents had primary custody?
I can’t find it currently but I’ll get back to you

As you may know, until someone is identified by LE as a suspect or POI, it is literally against WS rules to suggest they are guilty. Especially family members.

It's not that no one here suspected this might be the outcome, but that it's not permitted to say so on WS in advance of LE designation.

I don’t know why that always happens here. We all know the stats - it’s nearly always a close family member.

The national park makes more sense, imo, as to not implicate SM’s family. IMO

Just heard the big news on my way home. I wonder what the police have for Gus' disappearance to be declared a major crime. They must have something concrete.

imo

They might have been generally together at a location, but not in sight of one another for a period of time. Which would become suspicious if their detailed accounts differed.

I still have a feeling that the family were treated far differently than your average family who had a missing child under strange circumstances, by the Police. It felt that the family had been given protection? I would have thought a search warrant would have been issued immediately and wouldn’t need special permission, especially as it is such a mysterious case? IMO
Could have just been small country town syndrome? Or maybe the cops knew that it was foul play straight away and wanted to keep them onside.

This would fit with the fact there were no press conferences or photos with the family pleading for people to come forward?

I reckon they’ve got statements from SM but also the vehicles and phone etc were seized on January 14th, so they surely have those results back now? I reckon a charge is imminent.

I think the trampoline near the sandpit looks to be in a strange and dangerous position

It looks like it would be easy for a kid to climb on to the trampoline and then jump off and land on something hard like landing on a stone wall or a stone step
I still think this is possible, or another accident. The trampoline was in a crazy position...

Very unsettling update on this story. I’ve often wondered what happened to poor Gus. Which grandmother was with Gus and told the sandpit story, I can’t remember and the DM wasn’t clear?

ETA my bad I’ve figured it out! SM is Shannon the non trans grandmother. It’s 5am here in the UK my brain was a bit slow to catch on!

Could be, seeing as Fielke said ... He did not rule out the possibility of an arrest being made

I can't see them going this public if they don't have something concrete. Definitely a pressure move. Maybe trying to get the suspect to turn themselves in. It would go better for them in the long run. Courts look favourably on that.

imo

I've never thought there was malice behind his what I assume, death. Always thought it would be an accident, a moment of panic to cover it up and here we are 4 months later still waiting to find out what happened to the poor little fella

Could you please point out the section/s of the paper that discuss hormones being
For profiling purposes gender is important and so is whether or not the transition happened pre puberty as hormones play a large role in our aggression and attachment bonding. For example, people with more testosterone (biological males) are more likely to show control and dominance, risk taking behaviours and higher aggression and threat behaviours and defensive status behaviours, whereas people with more estrogen (biological females) are more likely to have stronger attachment bonds to offspring, and are more likely to protect offspring.

There’s also the fact that biological males have a much higher propensity to be sexual abusers than biological females and you can’t rule that out here yet.

It’s a tricky topic to navigate in a situation like this, imo.

Could you please point out the section/s of the paper quoted that discusses and proves hormones and testosterone and the 'more likely' behaviours you claim above? Thankyou.
