Australia AUSTRALIA - 4YO AUGUST (GUS) Missing from rural family home in Outback, Yunta, South Australia, 27th Sept 2025

I'm not sure treating Media as enemy is a good strategy if a family member is missing.
In such cases
the more reports and Media coverage,
the better IMO.
Gaining general public's sympathy and help might prove vital.

But, in this case,
the belligerence is understandable now.

After all, as was reported,
a family member is considered a suspect.
So...no surprise.

It's very easy to be completely in control of everything and everyone in your domain when you live in an isolated place like this. I think we saw aggression and hostility from Josie because that domain had been invaded and that control was under threat.

Like many others, I think there are secrets in this family, most likely dark ones and the seizure of the computer may be very relevant in that respect.

Why should she? The press were told by the police to stay away. DM even ignored the do not trespass sign. I'd be angry too.
And I didn't say that she should... (my comment was a little tongue in cheek and is in reference to the story in the post I responded to). To me the grandparent's reaction was exceptionally aggressive and suggests a dangerous underlying temperament. Also in my opinion suggests that in addition to protecting their property, might be protecting (covering up) the truth, which to me doesn't seem too far fetched, considering that the police are now treating this as a major crime.
