There is a photograph of SM seated holding a baby GL.
How do we move from that to DBM and young JM not sounding the alarm? As I have implied earlier: the young JM would have spoken out about the murder of her young child. It is a case of consealment.

Remember that Gus was a baby of the age/size of the one in the picture only about 4 years ago. There's no way, imo, that Shannon looked like the woman in that picture only 4 or so years ago! You've seen SM's current photos. She is an elderly woman. She didn't age that much in 4years.

I believe it is SM in that picture, but it's impossible that the baby is Gus. Seems the baby is SM's then-baby, Jessica.

I thought when I saw that pic that it wasn't relevant to the case, and also wondered how in the world they acquired it?

I disagree, for a number of reasons:

1. All the publications (I've found so far) state the person holding baby Jessica is Shannon Murray.
2. Comparing *available* images of Shannon & Josie, the facial structure matches Shannon.
3. If anyone wants to challenge that they can spend hours searching for said images as I've just done.
4. I'll make another post later if I can be bothered - probably not bc the topic is getting sidetracked - the bonnywee baby on the person's knee is Jessica, the knees & rest of the person is Shannon Murray.
5. Shannon holding Jessica as a wee-tot (circa 25+ years ago) is irrelevant to the whereabouts of Gus Lamont.

I was reading though all that has happened so far and in my understanding he living in a quite area with his parents and grandma I think the space they say he is missing in is not that huge place to search to be honest they don't want to show a pic of the boy how do they expect us to if find him at all I have a feeling that this might be more with in family missing then actually missing missing if you know what I mean it could definitely be like a custody case going on that we don't know about is there like on going family stuff or things that might led to this boy missing like wdym he was playing ou side one min and he was gone the other was he not bring watched by who ever he lives with I have so many question.

Where is it stated that it was, in fact, JM who actually gave a snake as the purpose for the gun? IFIRC it was LE who "suggested" she may have been carrying the gun for a reason such as a snake, not that it had actually been explained as this by JM.

Exactly. The police were having a difficult time trying to keep the media away from the property. When the DM reported the incident to police, police were not sympathetic as they were told not to trespass. Police said JM probably had the gun to kill a snake. That is where the snake/gun story started from. It's in the early pressers.

Yes I agree MIG! It is obvious that the photo is Shannon holding Jessica. Looking at the time period of the photograph, the clothing, shoes, etc.

Feels a bit dumb to have to ask and doesn't really change much, but do we actually know what Jess's last name is? Is she Jessica Lamont or still Jessica Murray? I can't seem to find anywhere that confirms it, if anything MSM doesn't seem to know either and just keeps referring to her by first name only and sometimes grouping mentions of her with other people to hide it (as in, 'Jess and Josh Lamont,' or 'Jess, Shannon, and Josie Murray').

Knowing her surname has nothing to do with finding little Gus. We don't need to make every detail of their lives public. We want justice for Gus.

Thank you for your clarification of direction.
There is a background to the snake. The proposed theory stems of course from JM stating they had shot at a snake in the vicinity of the porch and that is the reason they had the shotgun which the DM filmed and which the DM informed the police. This is one of the only few threads of fact that has been documented if indeed JM was shooting at a snake or simply concocted the story to justify the presentation of a shotgun.
The presented scenario is just one suspected scenario--a scenario in which may have easily got out of hand in which GL is bitten and looses unconscious and dies in a period of time in which SM was not looking out and after GL. SM panics and the body is disposed of and the 2 JM's arrive back and GS is gone. SM has sunken into a deep depression.
You have to remember that there is a suspected cover-up and a period of time that sits in a vagary of the abyss in this entire unknown period of time. If young JM was involved it surely would have been done and dusted and the police called in. But perhaps a cover-up evolved.
It is suspected that GL has been removed from the scene at play and other parties at that time we're not aware of it and perhaps JM knows and is protecting.
I know everybody hates snakes but JM mentioned it and it is actuality or invention or the unconscious metaphor (iceberg theory) All variables at play.
(There are 4 species of snakes in that area which I have researched including those I have already stated)
*Remove the snake and supplant another aggressor or variable.
Dare I mention a theory here on WS's for I will be bitten by it!

From your OP ( which I responded to) I took that you were speculating that Gus could/must have been deliberately allowed to play on the sand pile, whilst someone knew that snakes were all over the place outside ( I objected to that notion as a given and posted as to why), and that therefore a person (SM or JosM) may have been okay with a likely (I objected) snakebite/or even wanted that (a sort of deliberate sending to possible death without medical intervention if bitten by eastern Brown for instance) .

Thank you for clarifying here and outlining a theory and your thoughts. I'm sure all theories as to what may have happened to Gus that day are welcome here. Jmo

It's a 30+ year old photo, the shoes are practical, and Josie didn't look like that then. It's Shannon as a young mother, guessing swiped from someone's social media account.

Been getting more and more confused over conflicting details and decided to sit down and methodically try to separate the wheat from the chaff, the actual known facts from unverified things that have been said, and it was weird realizing that 'Gus's mother's name' wasn't something I've been able to put in the 'confirmed' pile. Still digging through old SAPOL releases and so on. Because without getting the solid information established, am liable to just accidentally contribute to the confusion going forward by writing things based on misinformation.

To be fair though, I don't believe it has been actually confirmed. But to the point made my @BreakingNews a few posts back, it is not important for us to know this detail anyway.

From this point forward, I am going to refer to Shannon as SM, Josie as JosM, Jess as JeM and Josh as JL. In my prior posts when referring to who lived at Oak Park when Gus went missing I always referred to Jess as JL.

Just personally, I don't find the marriage status of JL and Jess ( or the last name Jess uses given she could still use Murray even if married to Josh) relevant to the case, especially as police have emphatically stated neither parent is suspected at all in Gus' disappearance. Moo
