I had given up on the idea after losing faith in ever hearing from the police again, but will call them and reiterate my information, specifically to the actual officer handling the case and let you know asap what they tell me.
I do believe there's more to this than just a missing person who's chosen to disappear.
For a start, the night I believe I saw him, he was sitting in his car staring straight ahead and not moving, just blankly staring and deliberately taking no notice of me. Even doing this when I slowed right down in passing because I wondered what was going on. I thought it looked like he might be cataleptic or having a breakdown for medical episode. I definitely sensed some type of crisis.
It was also wierd because his car had stopped a fair way back from the line (entering a roundabout) and I wondered why and if maybe the driver was high or drunk and might suddenly drive out erratically and hit me? This is also one of the reasons why I slowed right down and thereby got a really good view of his face, recognising I'd seen him before entering the supermarket in my neighborhood and earlier once I thought I saw him at the casino playing roulette.
Later I thought about it and realised, had there been an unseen another inside of that car with a knife or gun and lying down on the back seat making threats and demands, that they would previously have been able to see my headlights approaching from around the bend a hundred metres or so away and, as I believe there are cameras located at that roundabout, this passenger may have spotted me approaching and told the driver to stop the car, laid down and concealed themselves until I'd passed.
All this occurred at around 12.30 am on the night of the 29th October which was the also the same day his car was discovered abandoned in the Fortescue Bay area over 100km away.
