I have just watched the ACA special :-( I really don't think that the ex partner had anything to do with it and that has never really been the case right from the start. It seems like a case of rejection and an aggressive murderous reaction...fairly common unfortunately. Some people cannot handle being rejected and take it out on those who reject them. Both R and D look and behave like Neanderthals...

I hope they have some solid physical evidence.. Rowsell's aggressive behaviour, repeated attempts to pick Alexis up and proximity to the area *could* provide reasonable doubt for Trebeck.

They quite often add that in SouthAussie. People will often come forward as they feel safer doing so once someone has been arrested & charged. There may be folks who did see something at the time but were too afraid to notify police.

Any piece of information, no matter how small, helps police put all the puzzle pieces together.

JUNE 29, 2014 12:00AM: Farm labourer Robert Trebeck charged with murdering Goondiwindi woman Alexis Jeffery in case described by police as ‘jigsaw puzzle’

Police yesterday seized Trebeck’s car for forensic testing.

Detective Inspector Paul Hart said the investigation had been like a jigsaw puzzle for police.

“There have been a number of ongoing investigations taking place in relation to this matter,” he said.

“Of most significance would be the pathology and the forensic material that needed examination.

“And recent developments have certainly led us to where we are today.

“It’s fair to say that I believe the person was surprised to see us today, however he did indicate he believed we had been monitoring things.”
