Thankyou for that. Being a mum who has attended way too many cross countries over the years, that's exactly what I thought too. :)

Nope. So, he got those scratches from some other means! PS. The ones prior to Thursday night.

some of you may not have seen my post on this way back ...

the main carpark which is out the back of Kenmore Village can be accessed any time night or day - I know this because I have a private PO Box there.

Interestingly and pertinent to sleuthers - a shop owner in that area (which can be accessed any time) was interviewed very early on when Allison was still missing, regarding their CCTV as the police wanted to check for Allison's car that may have been parked there in the early hours of Fri morning.

This makes sense as a car parked out near the post office area would not be visible from the road and very few people are there in the early hours.

.

I have also alway thought the best friend who made the comment about not expecting her to die was odd. Odd enough I mulled over it many times but I never came up with her being a POI. But I don't think it is out of the question tbh. It is such an odd statement. Why would she expect ABC was going to die?

I thought some comments were a little odd, only when you put them side by side, these first two sentences are what you might expect IMO,

``She said things were good. She was happy,'' Mrs Walker said.

``It (her death) was a complete shock to all of us.
''

but when you consider she also said ' she told me things, I should have done more', It doesnt make us much sense IMO

I don't think the 'chain theory' has any credence. That is a multi-tenancy development with all kinds of businesses besides Coles. They wouldn't put chains across the three driveways and if they did they would probably expose themselves to a huge lawsuit from someone who accidently crashed into them or tripped over them.

The 'chain theory' is in my rubbish bin.

It's in mine too Zorro...at this stage & unless police confirm it. Some crazy rumours just take off like willdfire.

me too, but someone, sorry don't know who, mentioned chains regarding the possibility of the missing hand.. someone else mentioned the chains and the entrance to the carpark @ Kenmore village. I coincidentally parked there yesterday & there were posts but no chains..today my partner told me out of the blue that there were CCTV's that saw someone take a chain.. Dunno..Zo...

Humor me and give me your scenario..

Thanks DunnoZo,

So it could be rumour, but then 'no smoke without fire'...
If Allison was left further upstream - it depends how far. Up Wirrabarra - very quiet and less likely to be seen - but the creek bed would have been dry; so why chains?

Chains seem more logical if Allison was left near the bridge.

welcome back greg...it was a cracking post! Sorry kimster. I agree the chain theory is a bit wild...but i'm doing my shopping there tomorrow, so i'll ask the trolley boys if they know any different.

Hmmmmm. Well I think as the chains are a rumour, and the missing hand is a rumour, I am going to file those things at the bottom of my mind.

Before I do that though- I will say that I think there are a quite a few plausible explanations for a missing hand from a body which has been exposed to the elements for some days so i won't be reading too much into that theory for now. As for the chains, so far I can't think of any good reasons why anyone would be getting chains from Coles carpark. Weighting down bodies isn't exactly my specialty though :-p

I do have a couple of possible scenarios in my head, nothing too out there and nothing new either. But as I am operating on very limited facts I will keep them in my brain-box for the time being :-)

I agree....Each person will read into it differently. eg GBC on camera said he has helped the police "ALL HE CAN". If we took that literally, it means he has done all he can to help the police. Though, other nuances have led us to feel otherwise.....Same could be said here.

agreed.

BBM

Could you please give us a link to that as I do not remember it in that form or phrasing at all?

I always thought her BF saying she didn't expect her to die was just meant to mean that it was a shock.. like you wouldn't expect anyone to die... because it was sudden and unexpected.

I think the comments from the friend could be interpreted in various different ways. Therefore, my inclination is not to overthink them because I find over-analysing things can make you 'find' things which might not really be there because you're just trying to fill in gaps. I do like the out-of-the-box thinking about it though!

That's how I took it as well.

Somewhere back in the thread (this one), is a comment from Greg...I found it utmostly interesting....Sorry though, I cannot be fagged going back to look for it...Im doing a few things at once on the computer onight, and dont have time to search for it.

It was a true comment to what he had noticed at the funeral.

Were the scratches on his face? I wish we could have seen his hands that first day. If someone was trying to strangle or smother me, I'd be clawing at their hands.

IM sure there were comments somewhere from the Dickie's that stipulated, that after so many days, they knew she was gone....That would indicate hurt, sadness.....but it means, they werent shocked.

They would have been shocked to hear she had gone missing....They would have been shocked that she hadn't returned in the first few days.....But after 11 days, they knew she was dead. (moreso presumed she was dead)

I agree - missed a lot of posts - work commitments - but chains from Coles??
Have no idea if it is fact or rumour!

Rumour. And I think unlikely. Has been reported by CM that there were no visible signs of foul play(I put a link to the article on page 33 of this thread). So if that is correct, than I don't think the chains were used or found around the body, cause that would be a visible sign of foul play I would think.

A picture was posted a while back..it looked like he had finger marks up his arm. I will try to find it.

Thanks - chains go in the 'less likely' basket - and I am sticking with my opinion that Allison was left upstream. And I think Wirrabarra over Scout Camp
