I'm not doing the 'warm and fuzzy' bit for Gerard. No compassion from me, for him or his family - they are not victims!! ( this does not include Allison's three daughters)

IMO

Gerard Baden Clay is a cold blooded killer. He killed Allison Baden Clay.
Gerard Baden Clay is a spineless coward. After he killed her, he dumped her body at Mt Crosby.

IMO members of his family are up to their necks in this, and their behaviour is despicable.

IMO Gerard Baden Clay will be arrested, the sooner the better, and I hope that the three little girls are brought up by their loving grandparents - the Dickies.

I do not feel guilty at all in thinking people that are capable of these action are the s**m of the earth.

:)

Off-topic, apologies - although I suppose it fits in with previous discussions about the pets involved in this case.

To keep it on the current topic, I notice there has been an absence of links provided for the "who pays for the drinks at the wedding" discussion. I though this might help clarify: http://www.wedding.com.au/tips-advice/articles/who-pays-for-wedding/

Cheers - MOO

I heard that Gerbil taught his dog to walk backwards because he wanted his dog to look like him.....

Actually the sign says "Another Project Funded from Camera Detected Offences"
Whoever wrote the sign doesn't understand how to use capitalisation and I am unsure of the project.

Sign may have changed since google went past and a sign saying their are cameras in place?
I wouldn't doubt that roads out that way are used for illegal dumping all the time though.

Thanks for your link wakeskate. I don't think that I was using street view properly before - just got a few random shots, but couldn't move along the road (obviously I was doing something wrong!) So I used your link and travelled along Mt Crosby Rd all the way to Hawkesbury Rd - no sign of the camera (?) that I thought I saw today. Must be seeing things! :)

thanks whatif!

If this was about the silver trailer I've been meaning to mention that last weekend during the Brookfield show I went past the GBC house (which was right next to where the road was blocked off for the show visitors) and there was a silver Mitsubishi Magna in the yard in front of the house, with a silver trailer attached or certainly very close to it and looking as if it was attached.

Also I noticed when i was driving past the house one night during this week that all the lights in the house were on, it certainly looked as if people were living there so I am thinking that GBC is back there with the girls. Not that I can be sure of course.

The phone would have never left the home more than likely. Phone triangulate themselves to the 3 closest phone towers. My old analogue phone use to say on the screen that I was at such and such a street, even though I was home, that is just where my nearest tower is.

I've mapped out the 3 nearest towers on google maps to Allison's home, just street view and look up. http://goo.gl/maps/Joj9

I found them from this website... http://maps.spench.net/rf/

I'm normally a person who can see 2 sides to every story. That's why I've always said I'd never be any good on a jury.

Somehow, I just can't see 2 sides to this one... believe me I've tried. For me, there's just nothing there on the other side for me to give a second thought to. Doesn't happen to me very often.

Is this going to affect his "man of the year" nomination?

Not sure I'd read too much into the dry wedding. I intend to have a dry wedding and I'm not religious, just wouldn't like a special day to be spoiled by drinking and feel it is unnecessary. Seen weddings wrecked by drunken behaviour.

I recognise the tendency to bag the BCs for everything they do (and dont do :-p) but we don't know how they are in private. Yeah yeah no public thank you or emotional display etc etc I know- but who knows whats going on behind closed doors.

Good news about the reports being due back within a week! Seems promising.

The thank you from the dickies was very lovely indeed, what a sweet pair.

Well that's my two cents for the day :-)

Thanks for your two cents. ;). I agree with pretty much all of it.

Just by the by.......am in bed, nothing is on in our house. Can hear very clearly people talking in street, but they are on verandah, approx 30m I'd say. Can hear neighbor yelling at her kids...( womens voices I think carry more due to pitch and tone??). Can hear others giggling. Very likely BC neighbors heard IMHO almost everything that may have gone on. If they were curious, they may even have turned down TV to hear goings on, especially if regular occurrence .......any other ideas??

Minni, you're deeply attached to this case as we all are. The transcript shows a different side to the GBC that we have all created. In saying that we all must realise that by surmising someone's character based on half facts and media related information, it is easy to fall into mob mentality. I am guilty of this and am the first to berate myself for doing so. Are we fictionalising events and personalities here? Perhaps we should think on this before posting. It is easy to point the finger and harder to see the truth behind our own moral mirrors. Hang in there Minni! Xx

Yes, very well said. And this is exactly what happens - to all those who can't understand why some women stay with men who abuse them, this is part of it. People who are sociopaths or who have other personality disorders can be very dualistic, they sort of 'split' so they can be in one mode and then another.

My ex and I had joint counselling at one stage where we each had our own therapist in a joint setting. After a few sessions my counsellor began to try to educate me into understanding the reality of my ex's personality, and why there were serious and unfixable issues. It took a lot of convincing me because he had so many beautiful qualities, and I always had hope of his potential and his being able to work through some of his issues.

But it was explained to me that he would 'compartmentalise' everything so he could be wonderful one minute, then suddenly seem like a totally different person with different views and feelings, who couldnt even seem to remember about positive feelings and attitudes he'd had the day before. He would go from being adorable and inspiring, and being devoted and loving towards me, to being cruel and frightening and acting as if he hated me and had no remembrance of being in the other mode. He would become so hateful and angry it was hard to believe it was the same person.

I don't know if GBC is like this, but just saying that just because someone seems so positive, talented, kind etc, doesnt mean there isnt this other side and that other side can't be extreme. Yes, I know, it really does play with your mind. Especially when you want to see the best in people.

AND... very usually the dark side is only seen when the they believe they have reeled in their intended...DV occurs across socioeconomic groups.

Allison's Mobile Phone: This phone has had me perplexed since the beginning. The police originally said that it had been triangulated to within three suburbs: Brookfield including Upper Brookfield, Kenmore and Pullenvale. This was a week after Allison disappeared.

April 26th: http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...urbs-of-brisbane/story-e6freoof-1226338302828

"Police said they had yesterday managed to triangulate Mrs Baden-Clay's iPhone, before the battery ran flat, to a location spanning three suburbs in Brisbane's west.

They called on residents of those suburbs - Brookfield (including Upper Brookfield), Kenmore and Pullenvale - to search their properties for any sign of the mum or her mobile phone."

About 12 days after Allison was missing it was apparently within 150 metres of the house.

May 1st: The day Allison's body was found. http://www.news.com.au/national/hop...d-at-kholo-creek/story-e6frfkvr-1226343535002

"As the Kholo Creek crews worked, fresh search teams were sent to scour the gardens of the Baden-Clays' two nearest neighbours looking for Allison's mobile phone.
It is understood search crews were told the iPhone would be found in an area believed to be near the two neighbours and the Baden-Clay property itself."

Also from the Detective in quotes: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/tr...ents-in-the-area/story-fnat7jnn-1226345491639
"I know the community out there have assisted greatly in searching their properties, but if people can continue to be vigilant, if they find a mobile phone in the area, if they could contact us and let us know," Supt Ainsworth said.

I haven't been able to figure out how a mobile phone could only be triangulated down to three suburbs until I considered the possibility that the phone could have been moving about. When it eventually came to rest it was within 150 metres of the house.

Theory: Allison's mobile phone was in a car. A car that was not impounded for forensics. The driver eventually found it and tossed it out near the Baden-Clay home.

The theory doesn't hold up very well as whoever had it would logically have thrown it in a river unless they had some reason not to. Perhaps reformatting it, worried a continued search would lead to them. It does support the notion that the phone was charged somewhere near the end of the first week to make it findable near the house..

Food for thought only.
The phone has had me puzzled too - something very strange there. In an earlier post I wondered why police had been so slow in pinpointing its location and then, days later said it was within a 150m radius of the GBC residence. It occurred to me that someone had 'planted' it there for whatever reason.

Vehicles
So far, we have seen mentioned the following:
White Prado - with C21 signage (wonder if this will be removed now post office closure?)
Grey Holden Captiva. BC

Honda (car accident - loaner from a friend.
These have been impounded and in the case of the honda referred to local police for mechanical exam. BCs cars released. Unknown re honda status

Holden statesman? Owned by parents. Bwana plated.
Gold suzuki suv NBC spotted driving.
White Suzuki suv spotted at C21 cleanout. Owned by?

I still wonder about the white suzuki plus grey captiva possibly being spotted near Kholo Bridge or on the roundabout.

How many cars do these people have access to?
Just some random thoughts.

Yes, many women find 'the dream has gone', but don't want to believe it. Being positive, generous, loving people themselves, they have hope of being able to 'work through' some of the issues. They look at his beautiful qualities that they sometimes still experience. This does their head in. They overlook his 'bad' times and make excuses for his bad behaviour. It plays with their minds especially when they want to see the best in people. However, the physical violence, verbal violence and emotional abuse, social degradation continues, until finally 'death' of the victim becomes a real possibility. These women are looking through the lens of 'love', often to their own detriment. But their abusers don't have that lens! They can't love; they can only fake it. MOO Convincing a victim of this is not easy. Until they realise it for themselves and their children, they continue to live with abuse.

And Ollijack...you are very wise. I think you have put the thoughts of a lot of posters into words.
( but we wouldn't be using the word fools - very polite!)

Yeah well done ollijack! Thank you!

I think Minni was referring to the business downturn dear sweet happy Heyerdahl, better be nice or mods will see you picking on the poster

thanks Berry, you are, as always correct. I have to go back and check, But I was probably also referring to the general lack of public support he has experienced, and the fact that although he is active in the business community, he hasn't had anyone speak out for him. It could be argued that he isnt a suspect, but it is common knowledge that he is percieved as being a person of interest, whether or not it is true.

I think I also alluded to the fact that the support from his family has in some ways not helped him to appear innocent. all in my opinion of course. :moo:

I live in an average residential area, and in the still of the night we can hear yelling from an awful long way away. So, yes I think the neighbours could well have heard something.

Sadly at my house, in the still of the night, we also have to put up with various idiots {few different houses} who think it's good to slam doors, break windows and throw eachother out of their houses all through the night. With that comes the necesary abusive language and threats. But no need to worry, they all make up again the next day... well they have to, otherwise they wouldn't be able to throw eachother out the next night. ho hum.

I'll add to that, we don't even live in a bad area. lol
