Savages was pretty gravelly. Cut my toe on glass badly there once.
Ah, that would be the one then.

Completely! Still have the scar on my foot to prove it!
Yes, you are right jubillee, people who are depressed can put on a very good front, just to deal with things and cope.
However I think people are making a distinction between someone being depressed and having clinical depression. One concern about the depression being bandied about is that it is not substantiated. There are also many, many people on here who passionately believe, based on the known facts so far, that GBC and possibly members of his family have involvement in the murder, and that they have put about the idea of Allison being depressed to plant a seed that she might have suicided, or ran away in a depressed and distressed state and had a terrible accident because of it.
Understandably, when the theory of depression is raised once again in another scenario, it will bring about objections, one, because it is a rumour, and two, because it represents to many people the perpetuation of an aspect of the murderers own cover-up.
Yes, I found this statement very telling, thanks for posting it. I took it to mean - "Gerard was having an affair which challenged the marriage, but Allison remained faithful and worked on her marriage right until the end". She may have even been killed for it - if she was trying to discuss issues and find solutions and Gerard did not want to hear what she had to say.
Depressed can mean so many things, IMO. There's depressed as in "feeling down for a few days" and then there's clinically depressed where a person has physical ailments and sad thoughts for days and days.
If Allison said she was depressed, who can blame her? Her husband was having an affair!
Then there's the question of whether Gerard was telling people she was depressed. I've mentioned this before and I'll mention it again, the most common two things I've seen husbands who are suss in a missing wife's case say are "she ran off with another man" and "she was depressed". They want the world to think either she's out there somewhere living the high life with a new lover or that she committed suicide. Both stories are said quite often. I've been reading these cases for years and before that, read a lot of books by Ann Rule.

I was just looking at some earlier news articles to remember what I have already read but have forgotten... not searching for anything in particular....
Came across this so it appears that Olivia wasn't the only one to mention that Allison suffered from depression. The news article doesn't name Allison's friends and is dated April 27, 2012 a couple of days before Allison's body was found.
Friends claim she suffered from depression but would have returned home for her daughters' sake by now.

No obvious signs on the body means little I reckon... all it means to me is that there is no visible signs of how she was murdered but that closer examination was needed.
Notice the weeks of silence and abscence of any statements one way or another from the police. Bet they're busy boys on a roll behind the scenes.
Thankyou Berry. That was huge. Now don't regret telling us. Thank god kids have mums. Such brave creatures. Xxxxxxxxx
I know Olivia referred to Allison suffering from depression and so did some of her friends (who were not named) in the article I read... But did Gerard or either of his parents also claim Allison was depressed? I don't remember reading that in any news article, but then I could have easily missed it.- interesting to know how common it is for these excuses to be given by murderering husbands.
As a kid my family use to go to Kholo, Savages and Colleges. Can't for the life of me remember which is which now... but I know one of them was more gravel/stone on the shore... coz my brothers laughed when I always ended up with bikini bottoms full of it. They use to tell me I'd poo'd without knowing. Since I was 5 i believed them. The fun days.
police confirmed she was murdered almost as soon as they found her body, i think even before the autopsy, so even though no obvious trauma they could still see she was murdered

Personally, I think that the police are above all that and have a pretty good idea at the many 'tricks' and 'manipulations' people try to swing over when giving information to them. I reckon they've heard it all...
I keep hoping that the official police silence which is quite deafening lately means they are getting closer and closer to laying a charge(s) soon.

Point taken and I would like to say that I have never tried to start such a rumour. However when you look at the whole picture nothing has been proven and nothing is certain here.Even what the police and media tell the public can be edited, altered etc.( like I didn't lie but I left a bit out) to help solve the case. What I guess I am trying to say is, there are some very strong opinions here based on speculation (enhancing fact) that make especially one person (and others to a lesser degree)appear guilty. It would be senseless for them to come on here to defend themselves so (if, if, if they are innocent) are they not victims too? I do not think Allison had an affair myself and have said this before. However she may have befriended someone (male perhaps) "outside the box", that nobody knew about. Why is that so unthinkable and it certainly says nothing disrespectful about her if she did. I say this with all due respect. IMO

Mrs Baden-Clay's bubbly nature might have been masking depression, friends of her husband revealed in the 11 days before her body was found.

Reports stated that the shredded paper (a bag of) came from the C21 office.
A news video showed police placed it among other things in the boot of a vehicle.
I don't get it.....I dont understand how this can happen....you deserve lots of love Berry
