Why haven't police given a photo or cctv clip of Anesha to bring out any witnesses who might have seen her walking to the shops or around the complex foyer and car park?
Amesha was allegedly missing for approx. 12 hours in wild weather so why wasn't a 000 called earlier?

Just after the 1:00 mark in this video, it says that "they had both reported her missing last night". But who knows at what time that happened, and if police were on the lookout for Amesha yet.

Ah, that's good to know. So it may just be a matter of sloppy reporting then? I'm relieved to hear that.

As we know from other cases, so many people are reported missing each week that the police just don't have the manpower to go searching. And most missing people do return. So maybe that's why the family were searching themselves....they'd reported her missing but discovered that the police don't just come out and start searching.

I'm also of the opinion of foul play but I just wanted to put this out there re: suicide. Excuse me for not using Amesha name in this scenario, I don't think it's what happened but I'm sure the forensics are covering all areas. They'll be looking for fingerprints made by the assailant on Amesha, bruises etc. They will have a lot to work with as she was found so soon after death. I hope the culprit is found soon.

She may have scaled the fence getting a foothold on garden rocks/wood, went down near the creek. Tied her scarf around a low branch of a tree and tied around her throat, hanging there for several minutes became unconscious, the branch gave way and broke or scarf slipped off, she then fell into the water unable to revive herself, she drowned. JMHO

That scenario makes sense. More sense than just drowing herself imo.

I agree ... IF it was suicide, the creek area would be a tree filled area that was out of sight. And it makes heaps more sense than trying to drown yourself in a creek, where your natural urge is to fight for breath.

I guess they should be able to tell by the angle of the scarf, neck bruising, etc. With all of the reporting, it seems that the scarf may have had something to do with Amesha's death. It is the only thing that we know for sure that she was wearing.

If the creek was swollen and running Amesha should have been washed downstream (a bit) unless she was found on the bank or got hooked onto a branch.

Okay guys so like I promised you all I went out to our private park.met couples from block 'b' ( amesha's building) ..they all raised the same question..' Why would a brother thought of the creek'? No adult would imagine climbing there for an adventure..also body was found quiet close to the fence..was it really visible from the seventh floor ? That too that early in the early, rainy, foggy morning?! Residents said, they didn't actually hear a female's scream but loud voices..like all grown up men discussing loudly which seemed like they were standing on their balcony!? Could be because they saw the body lying in the creek? My question-->> how?! :thinking:

I haven't read all your posts..just upto page nine.. But yes, police came knocking on all our doors to ask if we've heard or seen anything, anybody, and police were showing amesha's photo and asking if anybody seen her..shoot! I missed out seeing her photo! Coz when they knocked and asked if I've heard about the lady in the creek, I over smartly said 'yes' and they never showed me the photo ..

Okay so I'm totally confused now..the ladies I just met said she lived with her dad and brother who came to Australia first and later invited his sister for further studies..

Yes, the police station is 5-8 minutes walking distance..if the security people get alerted, they can reach in less than 5 minutes..

Strangest thing is most people who are regular at park, gym, swimming pool area have never seen her! So she must be a very private person..

I wonder what time of death the autopsy will put on Amesha's passing. I guess there is always the possibility that Amesha may have gone somewhere else for the evening, and met her demise when she was headed home again.

IF she had been reported missing on an earlier occasion, she may have been wherever she was on that occasion.

Anoshka, is there still an increased security presence at the complex? You'd think that sooner or later there would be an update, for the residents' peace of mind?!
For police to not publish Amesha's photo, they must have leads pretty 'close to home'?? Perhaps they do assume it's suicide now, or they think the murder is somehow tied to person/s with a relationship to the complex...
Interesting to see that her body was found close to the fence... It's also been reported that she was found IN the creek, NEAR the creek, IN an underpass, NEAR an underpass...
What is this underpass? Is there a walkway under the railway lines? Could someone have accessed that area from the other side of the rail line, by walking into the underpass and heading towards the creek that way?

Don't know if the upload of this image from Google Earth has worked, but I did a search on Alexandra Avenue Westmead, which is the road running along the rail line, on the other side of the complex. Looking at the path of the tree line, where the creek is, it takes you right to the railway and, at that point, viewed from the other side of the rail line, there is the 'underpass'!! Seems like it's not a pedestrian underpass, but more like a drain, and there is a fence around it on the Alexandra Avenue side.

There is a strike force related to Amesha's death:

I think there was some form of foul play - and I don't get the impression that the family has anything to do with this.
After looking at the photo's of the sheer distress and grief of the family, I hope the Police Strike force have some leads.
