BBM - Classism is no better than racism.

Nice try but dont even bother.. I'm not labelling anyone on their social or economic background. They label themselves with "Proud to be bogan" and who are openly hostile in person and on SM with Muslims and others who they don't see as " white".

Wow, if things happened as mom describes it makes me horribly sad and disappointed. To imagine an adult and the children with that adult speaking to anyone, let alone a child and saying such things is heartbreaking and says nothing about the receiver of such comments and only speaks to the speakers and who they are, who they will continue to be.

I hope this little gal still managed to enjoy the event and remains confident that she is a beautiful little princess, despite what any stranger had to say.

When this showed up on my feed it hurt my heart for this child. As a mother, I simply hurt for her.

"sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me"

That's all I got when, between about 6-9, I complained about relentless bullying at school ("snaggle tooth, freckle face, run-around-int-the-shower-to-get-wet", etc, etc), so I blew a lot of it off.... amazing how much power you take away from a bully when you don't react the way they expect you to.

I just think there should have been a lesson in how to react rude people...my mom would have told the child who said this, "well we think you are beautiful". It stumps them. :loveyou::thinking::loveyou:
