Bones discovered in the WA Wheatbelt near Merredin last month have been confirmed as human remains.

The remains were found in scrub off Great Eastern Highway, east of Carrabin, on April 20...

It’s understood the bones were spread over a distance of 70m and about 10 bones were found.

It was not yet clear if they belonged to a man or woman. No clothing was found at the site.
