MYSTERY DEEPENS: Did someone take Chloe in the night?

April 11, 2014 12:00AM

Police yesterday interviewed a man who was drinking at the home earlier in the evening as they launched a massive air and ground search.

Bundaberg Inspector Kev Guteridge the man was not a suspect. He would not confirm if the family had other visitors that night.

“We just need to speak to anyone that’s got any information,” he said. “We’re anxious to speak to anyone else.”

That sounds suspicious as hell.
were there other men in the home that night/

WS is a victim friendly site and family is considered a victim unless LE/MSM tell us otherwise. WS bases it's sleuthing on MSM and LE reports. If LE hasn't said otherwise, we go with what is in MSM.

What can you talk about? The point is to try to help. You can put maps together that may help with searches. You can discuss what is in MSM and the few facts that are known. You can speculate as long as it is based on the facts available and does not involve accusing others.

We do not have anyone that is named a suspect or person of interest, so sleuthing is not allowed until or unless someone is named as such.

Hope this helps and if you have further questions, please pm a Mod or Admin.

Thank you

Ima

That's ok, SA. I know how things look and what statistics say about the most likely suspects. But it just tears me apart to think someone took Chloe and did awful things while people pick apart things like FB photos of the family.

What makes my stupid 'joke' even stupider is that I haven't even looked at FB. :blushing:
Have only read MSM.

And I too can see their pain quite clearly. Not a time for stupid jokes .....

(My only excuse is that they think they're zeroing in on the MH370 black boxes and that has made me a bit slap-happy)

It says found 8am Thursday .. so I'm thinking not, thank god.

It still seems to me it could be possible...God, I hope not. "Tin Can Bay" jumped out at me when I saw the QPS Facebook story about this because Chloe's mother went to school there.

ETA just read it's been confirmed not related. Very happy it's not Chloe, but sad for whomever they are.

My concern is that a big missing persons page on fb that i follow posted it only half an hour ago, they're usually pretty on the ball with their posts. Hopefully it's totally unrelated.

Oops scrap that

I hear 'human remains' and somehow I always think it means some time has passed. I guess police use that term so as not to give any details away in public though. Please don't let it be this little girl.
Don't forget that nobody knows when Chloe went missing - 7:00am is just the time that her parents noticed she wasn't there. I'm thinking it could have been anywhere between 1:00am and 7:00am on Thursday morning.

UPDATE 1.40PM FRIDAY: Childers mum Tammy O'Donnell has spoken of her pain as she pleads with anyone who has Chloe to have the "guts" to bring her home.

Speaking to Channel Seven in Childers, a tearful Ms O'Donnell said finding her daughter missing was like a bad dream.

"There's no way to describe it," she said.

"It's like a nightmare I can't wake up from."

Ms O'Donnell said the family mostly kept to themselves and stayed and home.

"I'd just like to say if anyone out there has any information please come forward," she said.

"All I've got at the moment is hope."

Ms O'Donnell, who described her young daughter as "beautiful, kind, loving and funny", said it was a painful thing to have to answer when another of her daughters asked 'what if Chloe doesn't come home'.

She spoke directly to anyone who might have taken Chloe, telling them to give her daughter back.

"You were gutsy enough to take her, now have the guts to bring her home," Ms O'Donnell said.

UPDATE 11.56AM FRIDAY: Bundaberg Police Inspector Kevin Guteridge has pleaded with the public to give police any information they might have on the disappearance of little Chloe Campbell.

Insp Guteridge said an infra-red camera search last night failed to find any sign of the young girl.

Another air search was carried out at first light this morning.

Seventy SES volunteers have now joined the search, with community volunteers on motorbikes and horses looking for Chloe.

Insp Guteridge told Isis Town & Country reporter Melinda Bradford that some items had been identified at the scene, but he was not privy to what they were and said they would be subjected to analysis at a later time.

Any word about a search of the home using scent or cadaver dogs?

so worrisome :please: :tantrum:

Jeez, if the Police are making the connection between the disappearance occurring at the same time the bins are collected, well, that's quite telling. Whoever took her has to be a local with local knowledge. Someone close. And I think the Police are heading in that direction.

O/T is anyone else getting Secrets & Lies type vibes about this case? The same State, similar circumstances, Police focusing on immediate community etc?

Does anyone have a link where they've confirmed the remains found at Tin Can Bay are unrelated? I know they were found only an hour after Chloe was confirmed missing, however the parents went to be at 1am according to MSM... 6 hour window there, and Tin Can Bay is only ~100mins away.

It's the logic that since the remains were found Thursday, the police would not still be searching for her today if it was Chloe ..
