So what about all his equipment? Maybe there wasn't a lot of use for it before they went missing because that tender closed only months before they went missing. What sort of equipment does a logging outfit have? I'm not a lumberjack and I'm ok.

So the family are reported missing in Oct and gone around 14-15 July. That's enough time to cover your tracks. Especially if the POI works very closely with WAPOL from the outset. A good cover. Inside the tent pissing out.

Opportunity ✓

Part of Helms Forest in Nannup was logged in 2007. That area was cleared of tree stumps after logging using earthmoving equipment and replanted. It won't be touched for 30 to 50 years.

If the disappearance was a result of someone doing them in and burying them in a logging area that since been replanted, it's highly unlikely anyone would ever know, unless a tree fell and uprooted them during a storm, but then someone would have to be hiking through the regrowth forest, and that's even less likely as it's thicker and impenetrable compared to old growth forest. IMO

Nannup is extensively surrounded by Forest. It's probably Ellis Creek forest.
