Very suspicious indeed. I encourage anybody reading this thread to take the time and read the aforementioned links and ask yourselves why doesn't this contributor come over to discuss this case openly.

Maybe Sir_Laughs_a_Lot has already?
Serendipity is a strange cat indeed.
Someone with a username which is the middle name of the person previously identified as Sir_Laughs_a_Lot and a picture Avatar that's come from a person previously identified as using the username Sir_Laughs_a_Lot photobucket account, apparently posted earlier in this topic between posts #4 and #11
A Thylacine is not a cat by the way.

Here is a listing from the breeder that Brevette found in Esperance.

Also some general info from a thread on dogzonline forums, which must have begun circa 2006. The breeder was posting here.

And here:

Thought these might be a good jumping off place into WA dachshundlund.

These male pups are $850 (AUS) ~$650 USD.

If two people work four jobs to support a family of four, supplemented by two Centrelink accounts, it seems doubtful they are going to pay top dollar for one dog, let alone two. Maybe they got a really good deal on the dogs, or maybe they were a gift from a friend who's dog had a litter, or from Chantelle's parents.

C. Gilbert, owner of the hardware shop sold it recently as mentioned in July 2007 NT. Pretty sure this is the man in the doco who talked about what a great employee Tony was. Wonder if Tony was supposed to stay on after it sold (since he was such an asset) or if this was a concern regarding the household income.

So I found THE report I was hoping to find which details the original Yarragadee hydrogeological investigation. This project was HUGE and this 659-page report is amazing in scope and methodology and mapping. Anyways, I can certainly understand now why Nannup was freaking out. It's not like you can 'desktop water-witch' public-supply well locations with a gematria-calculator.

https://www.water.wa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0014/4316/82079.pdf

Field work near Nannup:
There is a piezometer cluster on Figure E2 on page 10 near Nannup (BP47A,B,C). This would have required a drilling crew and perhaps a week to install three piezometers (small diameter PVC casing) that were used to collect monthly water level measurements from three different water-bearing zones for two years (July 2003 - July 2005). The hydrographs are shown on page 459.

In Appendix 6A, it mentions that six soil cores were collected near the Blackwood River around Nannup in 2003. They used hollow-stem auger so probably had a small rig and maybe 2-4 people for a day or two. They are only 3 feet deep cores. The locations are not mapped but are described street-wise beginning on page 302. They used them to determine salinity profiles so they could back-calculated recharge based on a chloride mass balance.

Anyways, again with the NT finds, from March, April and June 2007 issues, respectively. Its interesting that the Nannup bore discussed earlier was drilled in November 2007.

The thing is that we've found one former local that posted online commentary that has motive for this disappearance, however bear in mind, that there are about 1200 people in Nannup at the time, and only a small fraction had an online presence, blogging and forum posting. There could be others that had fixations upon the cult and motives for making them go away as well.

However, the thing is, that there is unlikely to be anyone else like Sir_Laughs_a_Lot, who claims to of had a 40 page dossier given to ASIO that belonged to a murdered journalist about a conspiracy by a former British PM, to which "Simon Kadwill" was an MI6 agent sent to silence him and destroy his livelihood by stealing his mail.
I mean that post is seriously off the chart, and if Sir_Laughs_a_Lot actually perceived this , then we're dealing with someone who was seriously falling out of his tree or abusing psychotropic substances IMO.
Much like Gary, himself I suppose.

Small country towns in WA are curious. Residents are often related. Most people born in the town are well known to everyone. It takes 20 years to become a local. Often years of community work are required to fit in. The POI's in my mind are the ones that are out for themselves. They may never appear in a community newspaper. They may never help out in the community. There are reasons for this. They are up to no good. They need to exist outside the dome of local rumour. Everyone who lives their lives in small towns know what goes on. The POI would be mindful of that.

If the person behind the Sir_Laughs_a_Lot forum posting does, then do we pose Gary Hughes's famous question afterwards?

Websleuths had baited threads with cryptic jibes at Sir_Laughs_a_Lot to draw him out, but it doesn't appear that he is lurking upon WS in an alias form. Some have been sure that he was, but not so much now. I have sent details of Sir_Laughs_a_Lots suspicious posts to Crimestoppers WA, and it'll be up to them to decide if the person behind them warrants further investigation in relation to the disappearance of the Nannup 4.

So to summarize he blamed Felton for not only losing the opportunity to tender, but also devaluing his business and drawing the debt collector all from his Mail being stolen. He mentions getting out of town in winter. I think the Nannup four all went missing winter 2007. All very suspicious. It makes me wonder what he did with all his idle equipment.

He also asserts that the cult took a cheque from his letterbox and banked it into their account!!!!
No wonder he made the assertion it was "Gary aka Simon", because he the bank would've told him who banked it!!!!
