:(

I think those responsible will be caught, seems they've left a forensic trail all over the place.

RIP Chris, thinking of the family & friends

What an odd spot to leave the body, when there is sooo many other areas they could have chosen.

I'm so sad for Mr Baghsarian and for his family 😢

I have been thinking of Mr Baghsarian throughout today. His life taken before his time and in such horrific circumstances. His murderers will be caught so they could have let him live, as they will end up in jail regardless.

If I was his family, I would struggle to reconcile how another family's (supposed) choice to live a life of (organised) crime resulted in Mr Baghsarian becoming an unintended target. Whilst the actual target may not have deserved to end up with this fate, not knowing anything about his family, it really hurts my heart that Mr Baghsarian was so far removed from them but still paid with his life, and experienced torture and likely severe distress in his final hours.

If his family do happen across this thread, I have every faith the police are going to find who did this, and hopefully lock up not only those who did the kidnapping, but anyone higher up the food chain who may have planned or coordinated it. IMO there will be many feeling a heavy heart for your loss today.

My thoughts exactly . I've been thinking of poor Chris alot too.

I'd like to say I hope he didn't suffer, but we all know that appears far from the truth.

This article gives a good summary of the Alameddine network & the newish rivals the Coconut Cartel

The NRL star, a wayward son and a gangland war with Sydney’s most notorious crime family

‘They don’t give a f***’: Bungling contract killers murdering the wrong people

Now, an insider claims the ordeal highlights the terrifying reality ushered in by these new rent-a-killers, who are consistently “getting it wrong” with devastating consequences.

The senior police source, who can’t be identified but who has many years of experience on Sydney’s streets rubbing shoulders with underworld figures, told news.com.au this new cohort “lacked the intelligence, the investment, and the care of their predecessors”.

“And Mr Baghsarian and his devastated family paid the ultimate price,” the officer said

“The people sent to do the shooting are given a car loaded with gear and an address. They fulfil a task. They do not do their own intel work prior.

A new breed of crooks is stalking our streets, driven by a hollow craving for infamy and a desire to make a quick buck.
But with no skin in the game, they are sloppy and prone to screw-ups.

These days the criminals are organising the hits from overseas and “setting them up with strangers on signal”.

Appalling, needless and frightening. Baghsarian family must be so shocked and devastated.
