My heart breaks for Mr Baghsarian, and for his loved ones. He deserved to live his later years in peace & happiness, not to be terrorised, traumatised and murdered by individuals who IMO have no right to call themselves human beings.

What on earth led the 2 young men who are under arrest, to get involved in such horrific behaviour !

Initial reports seem to indicate that they came from good families - I can’t begin to imagine how their parents must be feeling ! (And I’m intrigued by the fact that one of them travelled to Port Macquarie to visit his ex … what was going on in his mind )

JMHO - to me they look like they would struggle to get a brain between the two of them ! … hence their mistakes. But no way are they the masterminds. .. as I said ‘.hitmen for hire’.

And they’ve made such a hash of it and alerted the world to the fact that there was / is a planned attack on someone else, that I doubt they’ll collect their payment ! In fact I’m surprised they are still alive - the raids this morning may have extended their lives a bit, but the masterminds will have them marked.

* it’s important at this stage that I remind myself that they have not yet been Charged ( to best of my knowledge) which would indicate 1) that a magistrate has approved an extension to the period of detaineeship without charge
Or
2) that they are voluntarily assisting police - even 1/2 a brain would imo suggest this be their best course of action, if guaranteed witness protection.

All just my opinion.

I’m horrified at the total disregard and disrespect for another person, let alone for a harmless and defenceless senior citizen . This behaviour cannot be tolerated in our country.

Lake Macquarie, so not that far from the Hills district really. But they were idiots from start to finish. Idiots with no respect for life. I hope they get the maximum punishment in order to deter any other would-be gangsters and I hope the cops find out who ordered this and ensure their local networks are broken up.

I wonder if he travelled to see his ex as he preempted either his arrest or retaliation in regards to his intended target. He may have wanted to in essence say goodbye or something along these lines. They must have known they wouldn't be getting away with what they did.

Horrific’: Man who allegedly killed grandad Christopher Baghsarian seen during first court appearance​

“A man accused of kidnapping and killing 85-year-old Christopher Baghsarian has been seen for the first time since his dramatic arrest.

Mr Andrews was seen for the first time since his arrest on Thursday morning, beaming into Blacktown Court from prison wearing a Gucci top and with dishevelled hair.

He will remain behind bars on remand after he did not apply for bail.

Mr Andrews’ lawyer Paul McGirr said it was a “horrific set of facts” and that he needed to remind himself he has a job to do as a defence lawyer.

He said it appeared his client was not the “mastermind” behind the alleged kidnapping.”

I'm not familiar with the legal system in Australia but I hope they get the maximum penalty allowed. It won't bring back Chris but it's the best just that the world can do for the family.

Just an observation but the fairer one looks nothing like the photo that has been released. Very scrawny. One could draw all sorts of assumptions from that.
The other looked like he was on the toilet at the time of his arrest.
I can't imagine what fresh Hell is in store for them both now as there will be very little sympathy for them anywhere inside or out.
I would say they have probably angered a very long list, some of whom are not likely to take it quietly.

What hurts the most is knowing about his finger been removed and who knows what other torture, as well as the fear Mr Baghsarian would have likely experienced in his final moments. Bunnings is clearly the shopping destination of choice for Aussie criminals. When will they learn about surveillance cameras? I see this dreadful pair took a break from torturing an 85 year old man to eat some lard filled burgers. Maccas is another place bristling with security cameras. Everything they did was stupid, stupid, stupid. I’m sorry, Mr Baghsarian. I’m sorry they dragged you out of your bed and ended your life like this, all for nothing.

I haven't really got anything new to say, I just need to vent! I find it almost impossible to believe how stupid and evil these 2 young men are - can you just picture them sawing off that poor man's finger, probably laughing and sneering at him. If ever there was a reason to have nothing further to do with your own child, this is it. I wonder what their history with animals is. And the expensive homes in posh suburbs don't impress me, it's not something they achieved themselves. Their families obviously worked hard to get there, and well done them. But the young men, what had they achieved? Qualifications, careers, respect? Chris towers above them, and always will.

Due to the victims age, I suspect he was on blood thinners. I wonder whether he died from blood loss, caused by his torture. If they did that to his finger, I can’t imagine what else they did. That poor man.

Iam curious whether it will end up as manslaughter, not murder, once it goes to trail.
