'They're quite surprised that this has happened and what they want is the safe return of their father,' he said.

Quite surprised? Seems a strange way of wording it. Hope poor Chris is okay

An elderly man has been kidnapped from his home in North Ryde in an early morning gang raid, which police believe is a terrible mistake. They're convinced the suspects got the wrong man, and right now the 85-year-old is being held hostage for no reason.
