At 36.45 on CSI Hunt for a Serial Killer,
Leiberman: Ok, now let’s roll the vision. At that point that Jane and her friends leave the hotel, what’s happening here?...
Det Sgt Jim Stanbury: You can see Jane and her friends coming outside the hotel now, and they’re just congregating around this pole... ahh discussing about what they’re going to do next.
Incorrect.
Jane exits the same time as three other girls. Two of them, friend 2 and 3 don't interact with her at all, just talk to bouncer. They both disappear from vision while JR is still talking. So called friend 3, with fuzzy hair is on the tape later after midnight when Jane is waiting at pole by kerb and doesn't talk or interact with JR at all. F 3 talking and very close to another bouncer at this time. Neither are her friends IMO.
? girl has waited outside Conti and only starts to walk to pole when JR exits. ? girl walk straight past JR and goes to pole, leaning against it. JR then goes to pole. There seems to be no interaction between them before going to pole. However, ? girl is the only one that looks vaguely like the friend Lynda Donovan, that talks on the documentary.
I thought her friends might still be inside the hotel, but the commentary clearly says she exits the hotel with her friends and they congregate around pole deciding what to do next.
Lynda Donavon: Somewhere through the night, I can’t remember whose decision it was we decided we were bored there so we would go to CBV. So we went there, and there was a line to get in, so we decided we wouldn’t go, and by that stage a couple of us were feeling a little tired so we decided we’d go home.
Leiberman: And your inquiries indicate that the friends said to Jane “Come with us, we’re getting a cab”.
Stanbury: That’s correct. And Jane at the last minute, decided she didn’t want to do that, and she said she was going to stay behind...stayed outside the Continental Hotel.
Leiberman: And did she give any reason why she was staying behind?
Stanbury: No, none what so ever.
