The court heard on Friday that Haines pleaded guilty to murder early last week.

He also pleaded guilty to wounding a person with intent to murder and robbery in company causing grievous bodily harm in relation to McNulty’s flatmate, Brett Fitzgerald, who was stabbed but survived.

Lee, 36, pleaded guilty on June 16. He admitted to murdering McNulty and pleaded to a charge of robbing in company and causing wounding to Mr Fitzgerald.

The two men who murdered Daniel McNulty in the company of Harriet Wran will both spend at least 11 years behind bars.

Michael Lee, 37, who was Wran's boyfriend at the time, received a minimum sentence of 13.5 years in jail, while co-accused Lloyd Haines, 31, was given a shorter minimum term of 11 years.
