Danielle, 15, was dropped off at Capalaba State College, in Brisbane's south, at 8.30am on Monday but was not at the school when her mother arrived to pick her up at the end of the day. Her mother heard nothing until she received a text message from an unknown telephone number saying: 'Hey it's Danielle, I'm okay, I'm staying at a girls from schools house tonight, I love you [sic]'.
Danielle's mother said she immediately called the number but there was no answer. 'I instantly got worried as Danielle always calls or replies to me,' her mother said. 'She doesn't have her phone, we have it.'
The girl was last seen wearing a light blue blouse, navy skirt and black shoes. Her family said her disappearance was out of character.
