Should we let VicPol know about this error? We'd have to have all the posts referencing it removed too.

I suspected husband at first and after reading thousands of these websleuths pages you always put husband prime suspect number one until LE rule him out. Then the slow flow of information points to neighbour possible involvement and you broaden your "guess" who it was. Then the mental health wheelbarrow starts to get pushed heavily and then you think of 3 possible scenarios. Now the inheritance dispute is raised and ACA raise some questions and you remember - "always trust your gut feeling - it is right more often than not". Im sure there are more twists and turns but you you have to love technology in 2017. It normally gets them in the end. Keep working at it boys in blue.

Thanks SarahJaneKate and welcome, you're a great sleuther! :)

Hmmm, opening up more if ACA are on the right track?

Other key points from your link, inkpink -

Missing Melbourne mother Elisa Curry closed down her Facebook account in the days before her disappearance, it has been revealed.

At 10.30pm, Ms Curry's phone is detected by a phone tower at the house.

Police have not ruled out suspicious circumstances in Mrs Curry's disappearance, but are also investigating the possibility she was lost or injured on a long run.

I know right! Bikies, booze, martial problems, depression, interesting neighbours, local gossips... This poor woman’s life sounds more like the Bold and the Beautiful by the minute!

Looking at the picture in this news article I can see a possible reason why the dog was found wandering the streets and ended up in a neighbour's yard and not back home in it's own place.

Maybe the dog was not only hungry and thirsty, but the gate might have been closed and judging by this picture it seems as if the dog maybe wasn't able to jump the fence or gate to get back in...

My labrador, (labradors are not known for their height jumping prowess), wasn't a jumper and there's no way she would have ever been able to jump over a gate nor a fence at that height, no matter how distressed or desperate or hungry she was.

Interesting thought. I just checked, and the video is still up on the VicPol fb page. But interestingly, not one person has commented on the flyer in the comment section.... and the comment section on the VicPol page is usually on fire!!! *not in a good way

I wonder how long it will be until the alcoholic thing appears in MSM....?

Right after they finish reading it here on this thread...

The same could be said about Elisa’s dog’s inability to jump over the fence to get out of the yard sometime after 10:00pm on Saturday night.

An Alcoholic AND a Marathon Runner?... a very, very odd combo indeed. one , you would think would cancel out the other.. one of my husbands was a marathon runner, and one a secret alcoholic... the combination of those two hobbies is simply outrageous , on the face of it.. one of those calls has to be wrong...

I disagree with this. Not all alcoholics drink every day, or are necessarily unhealthy. She may be 'recovered' with a tendency to relapse.

Search for Missing Marathon Mum Enters its fifth Day - The Australian

She isn't listed in the results on the official website, which may suggest DNF, but surely this can't have been the case three times? And as others have pointed out, there is no trace online of her participation in any other running events, either. It's really very odd. The only explanation is either that she didn't participate in organised runs, or that she ran under an assumed name?

A neighbour in the quiet seaside street said it was known among friends in the community that Mrs Curry suffered depression.

'I went into their house a couple of times and she was just really nice, really normal,' the neighbour said.

'Yes, she had depression.'

Have we worked out how many " neighbour's" have been talking to the media???

Was this mentioned at all in the early reports? This, combined with the fact that the husband reported her missing so quickly, suggests that there was a suicide risk, but usually this would be presented by the police as 'concern for her welfare' in the immediate missing person reports, surely?

This case has awful echoes for me because a childhood friend of mine disappeared about 3 years ago in nearby Lorne, in similar circumstances. She was about the same age as Elisa, also from Melbourne, also very fit, studied Law/Economics at Melb Uni, also married with small children, also suffered from depression. The early reports when she went missing highlighted concerns for her welfare.

She drove to a nearby picnic spot and killed herself - leaving a note behind. Which is partly why I am discounting the possibility of suicide in this case: I think if Elisa had killed herself, she would have left some sort of explanation for her children.

Also Robyn Briggs comment was very odd. If you listen closely it is really odd how she describes the part about there being marrital problems. She looks very tired as well (up all night maybe). We will find out in the next few days I think. .

I agree, the comment about marital problems is very oddly expressed and definitely important. The fact that it was said to the media is telling. She is clearly willing to burn her bridges with the husband - why? Either she knows some quite unpleasant things about him, or she is promoting the 'marriage problems' idea to muddy the waters.

It’s not known what Mrs Curry was wearing when she disappeared, though police are considering she may have been in runners and exercise clothing.

It strikes me as odd that the police have only released the one headshot of Elisa. Even if they don't know exactly what she was wearing, she probably wore similar things, especially when running. Why haven't they release a full length picture of her, in running gear? Surely this is what usually happens?

police tracking dogs were not being used because it had been too many days and too many people had been walking in the area.

Although, now, as they've said about having a slim chance of her survival if she's in the bush, they could soon go with cadaver dogs. :(
(Really hated typing that, but it's reality.) As well as, they should be (probably already have been) looking for circling buzzards. I'm sure the searchers have been keeping aware af that.

I think the police have said she was in good spirits regarding the win and that her mental health isn't pertinent to the search. Not a denial of any diagnosis or status.

I don't think there has been a deliberate change of narrative, I think someone is going to get their arse handed to them for that flyer being shown to the wider public via that youtube video. It looks like it is for police or SES. Where was that originally broadcast?

The logical next step after SAR has concluded their operations, I suppose. The closest you’d get to buzzards on the Surf Coast are Australian Ravens. Not really the circling kind.

I tweeted VicPol on that particular video to check for 'information displayed not meant for the public'. It's out though now, pretty hard to put the genie back in bottle.

Yes, I emailed them too. The Colac Police and the Complaints Dept, got an auto-receipt for the email, so I know it has been delivered.
Attached the video and a pic of the flier. Very shoddy. The sooner they take it down, the better.
