Two Charged, Remains Found in Isla Bell Case
Detectives from the Missing Persons Squad have located what are believed to be human remains as part of their investigation into the suspiciouswww.miragenews.com
A 53-year-old St Kilda man has been since been charged with murder, while a 57-year-old Hampton man has been charged with assist offender (murder).
A 63-year-old Mulgrave man was released pending further enquiries.
Hampton and St Kilda East are both inner bayside suburbs of Melbourne - not that far apart, maybe 15 min drive. There is a lot of ground being covered in this murder, .. one from St Kilda east, one from Mulgrave, one from Hampton and the victim from Brunswick, and her body winds up in Dandenong.. 50 klms away.. it's not just the strange gap in the ages of the alleged killers and their victim, but the disparate distances ... how did they all wind up together?? what was this 19yr old doing with these middle aged men?? what connection did they have to each other? since none of them seem to have any connection to Dandenong, how did her body wind up there?
Sure, but .... what made 4 of them converge at Dandenong? . or.. someone transported her body to Dandenong, from where? ... from north of Melbourne, ( Brunswick ) and south of Melbourne, ( St Kilda east, ) and south east of Melbourne ( Hampton ) to way east ( Mulgrave ) very much souther east ( Dandenong... ) .. did they travel separately? >. on the train? by car? how many cars? who's car was she in? ..Hampton and St Kilda East are both inner bayside suburbs of Melbourne - not that far apart, maybe 15 min drive.
Brunswick is a suburb where a lot of young people live - not far from Melbourne Uni and there are trendy shops, cafes, bars, lots of fun things to see and do. (I'm over 50, and I still love to swing by Brunswick when I'm in town and visit some of the shops and other places I used to love in my student days!) There is a tram line (Route 6) which goes directly from Brunswick to St Kilda, which is another popular suburb with lots of places to have fun.
Mulgrave is further out - south eastern suburb, not far from Dandenong. Household waste from homes in Mulgrave would probably be taken to a tip in/around the Dandenong area.
My opinion and speculation - trying to fit the pieces together. Melbourne is a sprawling, spread-out kind of city, and it's not unusual to cover significant distances to get to places. I travel 30km each way to and from work every day across the suburbs, and it's not an unusual commute at all.
This article has a very thorough rundown of how they all converged, based on court documents. Her body ended up in a Dandenong tip after being placed in a residential bin by an unaware strangerSure, but .... what made 4 of them converge at Dandenong? . or.. someone transported her body to Dandenong, from where? ... from north of Melbourne, ( Brunswick ) and south of Melbourne, ( St Kilda east, ) and south east of Melbourne ( Hampton ) to way east ( Mulgrave ) very much souther east ( Dandenong... ) .. did they travel separately? >. on the train? by car? how many cars? who's car was she in? ..
