How beautiful? This is the heartwarming moment little James was reunited with his family

The three-year-old was found safe and well last night after he went missing for nearly 12 hours in dense bushland in Yallingup, in WA's south-west.
Sergeant Luke Fowler, the officer in charge of the Margaret River area, said the boy was finally found just before 7:00pm by his grandfather and uncle and quickly reunited with his waiting parents.
"To see a child reunited with Mum and Dad, cuddled up together on the bed, it was just, look, you couldn't describe the sheer happiness that was on, especially Mum's face," Sergeant Fowler said.
"That's something I think I'll always remember.
"She was about as happy as I've seen anyone for a long time."
Louise Watson, a friend close to the family, said:
"Little James is feeling great this morning. He's back to his usual self and his family couldn't be happier."
Love a happy ending!

Aww ... I just saw them all on Ch7 evening news. What a wonderful outcome for all.

Dad said he just broke down while he was out there searching, thinking of little Jimmy in 9 degree weather, rain, hail.
Mum said she thought she had lost her little boy forever. That she was going to have to bury her son.
Then nana came rushing up the stairs "We've got him, we've got him, he's alive, I spoke to him!!"
Mum fell to the floor with relief. Dad felt that he could "just walk on water" he was so happy.

:) :) :)

A quick update on 3-year-old adventurer James ....
After spending 12 hours in Yallingup bush land yesterday young James is doing very well.
Thank you to all the emergency service volunteers and members of the public who helped our police officers with the search.
Words can't describe how happy everyone is - so just look at these smiles, they say it all.

Especially when even mum thought she was going to have to bury her son.

Mum and dad are such a cute typical Aussie couple.

Speechless.

I thinking of William Tyrrell and sincerely hope cops don’t assume a child only walks down hill ever again.

But after failing to locate the boy, crews turned their attention south, where the thick scrub and rough terrain carries on downhill.

The decision was made based on experiences from past searches.

Police said typically, when a child got lost in the bush, they tend to find shelter, hide, or walk downhill.

But Jimmy seemed to favour the path less travelled, picking an uphill climb over what would have surely been an easier trek.

AND he still managed to get 1 kilometre away in rain and hail! AND still had a good sleep.

The locals were sick of the ridiculous restrictions put on them and it was the locals that went back up the hill and found him just off the track which was searched.

I understood that it was the grandpa and uncle who found him.. even though a tiny footprint had been found in same area earlier in the day by searchers. It seems the grandpa and uncle weren't locals. I wonder why the search team wouldn't have stepped up the search after finding that tiny footprint?

Mum was in a car accident yesterday :(

JIMMY’S MUM IN YALLINGUP CAR CRASH
The mother of three-year-old James O'Reilly, who spent almost 12 hours missing in the bush near Yallingup on Saturday, has been airlifted to Bunbury Hospital following a car crash.

The crash occurred this afternoon on Injidup Spring Road, near the intersection of Karli Rise in Yallingup.

Michelle Buckley is now in a stable condition at Bunbury Hospital.

This comes after a massive search for Ms Buckley's son "Jimmy" ended in joy on Saturday night, when the toddler was found by his grandfather.

Go buy a lottery ticket!

Jimmy, his baby brother and their father Chris were not involved in the accident, having already departed earlier in the day.

Ms Buckley’s Holden Commodore veered off the road and hit a tree near the intersection of Karli Rise and Indijup Spring Road just before 2pm yesterday.

The mum-of-two, who was driving with one of the family’s dogs at the time, was flown by RAC helicopter to Bunbury Hospital and is in a stable condition.

The dog is also believed to have escaped serious harm.

There were instructions to the public not to go off the tracks. The mother says she was forbidden to search at all. It sounds like police may have been anticipating a criminal investigation.

SM says it infuriated the family and locals who went and found Jimmy.
