I hear you… for sure I didn’t know about the 000 situation - very bad and sad and can’t even imagine if they could have been potentially saved in that time period.
As I understand it, they did follow up on the 000 situation. But the phone was registered to a different locale. Emergency services and first responders could only get a rough estimation of their location by triangulating. But I did read that they tried to locate the caller.

I know on some phones, in the settings, you can go in and put your emergency address for emergency calls from home. But that's on Android. I don't know what kind of phone he had, and I know very, very little about Apples. It's too bad that a neighbor didn't hear the shots and report them

Right. Ugh. I hate to say this but I don’t think either men could have been saved. This was a premeditated lethal attack.

And unseen in Paddington in daylight? This would take a while and a lot of effort IMO
I think there is rear access & it's quite private via cooper lane?

The more that comes out about this case the more I think this was definitely premeditated and planned in some form. It maybe didn't go how BL thought it would but you get the feeling it's one of those if he couldn't have Jesse then no one could. Fully expecting it to come out that BL had been watching Jesse, his neighbourhood, the comings and goings etc. Something pushed BL to act that day but it has likely been bubbling away for a while.
Yes and the only way to stop him would have been to arrest him. This is such a scary situation because the perp seemed so dead set on committing these crimes!

Is the timeline for the accused movements from Monday night through to Wednesday morning known? I just can't wrap my head around why he wouldn't dispose of the bodies straight away and would be driving with bodies in the vehicle for so long.
Yes I wondered this. Wouldn’t there be a smell?

Also, I don’t quite understand the motivation behind not revealing where the bodies are? Surely that would be in his best interests sentence wise?

Or do you think without the bodies he thinks he can argue self defence or something that would be impossible to argue once they see the actual injuries? I don’t personally think a jury is that stupid- if it was self defence you don’t then hide the bodies and refuse to say where they are… MOO

Is that a camera here or maybe a roller door sensor ?

Gunshots are heard at Baird's Paddington home at around 9.50am by neighbours. Police say witness reports vary between hearing one shot or several. One used cartridge is found at the scene days later.
A triple-zero call is made at 9.54am from Baird's phone, although it disconnects before anything is said or heard.

This is just so strange. Just how long was LeMarre torturing these two?! Jesse and Luke are smart guys and probably tried to leave evidence behind where they could. Gosh how horrifying. Domestic violence needs to be taken so seriously.

Deputy Commissioner Hudson also said it would be part of the police case that the accused had called in sick after the couple went missing.

"My understanding was he was on a recurrent leave day and then availed himself on the Wednesday, Thursday for two sick days, allegedly for a minor operation," he said.

I wonder when he came up with this “minor operation” lie… that morning, Monday, prior to Monday…

But wouldn't everyone want to come together to grieve? All 3 men were human beings first, and part of the very group hosting the event. To me, the promoters want to forget that fact. So, they're focusing on his job, anything that puts distance between the fact that he is one of the group. We see murders on WS every day, literally. Every possible identity is represented on here. IMO, they've taken a healing opportunity and an outreach opportunity and tossed them both in the trash. There may be someone struggling with a breakup who could be reached

Yes in all forms. Stalking, controlling, etc…

Crossing fingers for some breakthroughs today, some sort of miracle. Maybe even BL coming to his senses and assisting.

The Daily Telegraph can also reveal that the entire time Constable Lamarre-Condon was travelling around NSW allegedly disposing of bodies and evidence, he was in possession of his “Mobipol” – a smartphone device which allows officers access to police systems and databases while away from the station.

MobiPOL are shared smart phones and tablet devices enabling NSW Police Force officers access to police systems and databases away from the office. There are over 3,600 shared mobile devices in service as well as 1,000 mobile tablets for specialist roles.

The MobiPOL project developed a series of capabilities accessible by police officers in the field aimed at reducing duplicate administration, streamlining processes and enhancing situational awareness. Capabilities delivered by the MobiPOL project include:

  • ability to electronically issue most infringements, notices and orders
  • event creation in the NSW Police Force's core policing database
  • vehicle interactions that are not an infringement or any other action by police officer
  • recording domestic violence incidents
  • location search
  • digital driver licence checks.

MobiPOL devices are one of the key pieces of technology for the future of policing in New South Wales and future tranches of MobiPOL are planned beyond the funding provided by Policing for Tomorrow.

Usually the media would have a “scoop” by now by interviewing a family member or friend or neighbour of BLC for a large payment.

It seems that nobody is talking and perhaps family have all said to keep silent, including BLC. A number of LE in the family and the unwritten law is to say nothing and admit nothing IMO.

Maybe hoping that the prosecution botches the investigation or his defence lawyer can jump on any mistakes they make or any doubt of this being premeditated and unintentional?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but if he had this smartphone type device with him the whole time, can't they track it like a smartphone and see exactly where he went and when, thus giving them a map of places to look for the bodies?

I agree, I think those last series of posts at the winery and concert were the final straw for him. He lost it IMO
agreed. by the looks of things, blc’s relationship with jb was never made official, let alone instagram official. it seems that jb and ld also had been seeing each other for a shorter time than blc too, but the relationship with blc never progressed to where jb and ld were. wasn’t there also talks about jb and ld moving in together?

from what i’ve gathered, jb was never as invested as blc in their on and off relationship. blc would have been putting in all the work, trying to make their relationship take off, so he could have his famous boyfriend. given his obsession with fame and famous people, he was definitely looking forward to the day when jb finally announced their relationship. but it never happened. then in comes ld, who had only started seeing jb for a few months before things were becoming serious.

For sure. Even the reference to BL entering his home and removing contacts/texts from Jesse's phone - not only controlling but 'a few steps ahead' re potential future act. Unfortunately, it also states this wasn't reported to LE.

Mr Baird had apparently been enjoying life in Sydney until August last year when he told Mr Thorpe he had 'been followed home by a cop car'.

'Jesse called me... He was frantic,' Mr Thorpe said.

'He said "Corey, last night, this morning, I was sleeping in my bed and I had the feeling someone is standing over me, at the end of my bed watching me, and when I woke up they stole my phone and wallet. I bolted after them in Paddington".

'He never retrieved his phone, but someone found his wallet and messaged him on Instagram.'

I assume Jesse new BLC was a cop?, it's been reported he didn't tell people he was a cop.

The investigation has been “botched” given the multitude of missed opportunities by the police and investigators; and the stream of conflicting/incorrect information they keep providing the public (In an attempt to seemingly vindicate some of their wrong decisions rather than just admitting them openly so it can assist the investigation); as a few examples:

1. There was four days since the murder and the opening of the investigation, and thus delay is mainly due to lack of action by police in response to the 000 call, and by neighbours failing to report gun shots immediately

2. First they say it was Mr Baird’s phone that called 000 but now they say it was Mr Davies phone. This is critical as it led to the police welfare check being sent to the wrong address - which delayed finding the crime scene by atleast 3-4 days

3. For the apparent welfare check the patrol car was sent to Mr Davies address in Waterloo instead of Mr Bairds home in Paddington where they would have likely discovered the crime scene mere minutes/hours after it had occurred, missing a huge investigatory advantage

4. Initially police reported they did not follow up the 000 call, and now they are saying they did, but it came from a different phone than they initially suspected, and they went to a different home. This information is basic to verify so not sure what the reason behind the misinformation is

5. 000 has digital access to location of each phone call - so it is unclear why they didn’t send the welfare check to the location of the phone rather than the address usually associated with the phone. They know that often people make calls from addresses away from their home, hence it being a mobile phone,

6. The internal police investigation regarding BLC tasering of an unarmed indigenous man - remains a shameful red herring for the police, as it reinforces the unreliability of police investigating themselves and putting protection of “their own” over the protection of the public. The incident could have revealed the many red flags associated with BLC

7. The situation regarding the flatmates who lived at the Paddington address remains a mystery and unaddressed, and why none of them noticed the very clear crime scene that the police reported from the start had copious amounts of blood and furniture upturned,

8. A four - five delay in any missing person / murder case is a huge set back for any investigations - and that much of this delay may have been caused by police inaction / disinterest / lgbtq prejudice or perhaps concern for protecting their own is really really concerning. It also gave BLC a major head start in being able to lead everyone on a wild goose chase and to dispose of the bodies somewhere where they may never be discovered or even if discovered may not be as helpful as it could have been to holding BLC to account

So yes, the start has been severely botched but let’s hope that the progress and end of the police investigations is much more diligent, intensive and respectful - as it should always have been

IMO

I agree with your post except for one point.

I don’t think we can blame the neighbours for adding to the botched enquiry for failing to report gunshots - at the time they probably second guessed their hearing and once it all went quiet thought nothing of it.

These murders seem to have had quite a long and substantial build up - with all the things released in the media I am surprised that there doesn’t seem to have been any reports to the police made by Jesse regarding BL.

The only 3 reasons I can think of are
- Jessie was scared of what BL was capable of and didn’t want to pour fuel onto the fire by reporting it.

- with BL being a police officer he thought this was a futile exercises as many forces have a reputation of looking after their own.

- Jessie couldn’t be bothered with the drama and just thought all of this would pass over time.
