'It was a shock and it was very sad': Family mourns man in storage bin

A few Quotes:
Mr Christianos’ family are now grappling with the news that his body has been stuffed into a bin at a non-descript Oakleigh storage facility for the past 17 years, while they were left questioning what had happened to John. There are many questions which still remain unanswered.
But the news has brought some closure, in particular to his mother, brother and another sister who were his closest relatives.
It also also brought a sense of peace to his father, who will turn 75 in August and is battling terminal lung cancer.

The family is still unsure why Mr Christianos moved to Melbourne in 2001, but say he was known to move from one place to another unannounced.
“It could have been for work, I don’t think anyone knows. Maybe he wanted to escape,” says Ms Christianos-Toskas.
“One thing I would say, he was a bit of a tortured soul.”

Detectives on Tuesday said Mr Christianos had a history of contact with police across various states for a range of matters, including drug use and assaults.
He was described by the Coroner Kim Parkinson in 2011 as “psychologically fragile” and a “troubled man” who had told police he suffered from bipolar manic disorder.
His father tried to help him over the years, letting him stay with him in late 1999 or early 2000 before he moved to Melbourne, but Mr Christianos struggled to stay on the right path.

BBM. Thankfully he was found before his father died. Hopefully the case will also be solved quickly for his family's sake. Perhaps he moved around "unannounced" in order to avoid drug debts?

Sorry but are they kidding for murder.:mad:

My theory is—it’s 6 months for murdering him, six months for hiding his body for 17 years, and 5.5 years for owning an unregistered gun.:mad::eek:
