GUILTY KS - Jessica Rey, 32, found dismembered, Lenexa, 20 Oct 2017

If he was found with the missing man’s car and belongings. The car had the missing man’s blood in it and there’s Surveillance video of him using the man’s credit cards. Why wasn’t he arrested???

That's what I wonder too! Was he questioned and let go at the time?

And where was Jessica and their other child? Were they with him?

A very surprising and sinister twist of this already heart breaking case.

Ferel’s body has not been found, but the police in Palm Springs have issued a warrant for Rey’s arrest based on that evidence, according to KMBC.

Rey is currently being held in Johnson County on a $1 million bond, but KMBC reports that law enforcement officials in California are working to arrange his extradition to that state in the near future.

Someone on the police fb had the exact same question ... here's their reply:

There wasn’t enough information at the time to indicate a murder had occurred.

In one of his posts he rants about this man AND his twin brother being missing. Does he have a twin brother?

Mr Rey is exactly where he needs to be. Unbelievable.

I really want to know the timeline of when the other children were removed and when they lived where. At the moment I am wondering whether the two year is the FIRST child they've had since the previous four were taken away. Here is why I am wondering:

Seems like they've been living under the radar so as to not have the two year old taken away. Were there any other children no one knew about that weren't born in a hospital and maybe had this kind of medical treatment later? I just don't know how the timeline fits in.

Random thoughts, haven't finished reading thread yet.

Charged with contributing to the misconduct of a child. What did he make that child do? All kinds of horrific answers to that question are possible. My heart breaks for that two year old.

Most of the pages he was flipping onto the court table were blank. He is definitely an attention seeker.

He was an escort. That pour missing man is somewhere. He had two storage units we know of. Could be more IMO. This can't be the first person he robbed. He is a sociopath with no conscience whatsoever.

Did anyone see that he had some kind of education posted on his FB that he studied crime scene investigation? He knew he did something wrong and was making every attempt to hide it. I don't think his wife's death was natural or suicide.

They wouldn't have sought medical care. This child had a tube.

Attorney for man charged with dismembering wife files motion saying Justin Rey is unfit to withstand trial

OLATHE, Kan. — The attorney for the 35-year-old man charged with dismembering and abandoning the corpse of his wife has filed a motion saying that their client is unfit to withstand trial.

Justin Rey’s attorney, Courtney T. Henderson, filed a motion Tuesday that argued that Rey is unable to fully understand the gravity of the charges against him.

“Based on defendant’s apparent in ability to fully understand the legal proceeding against him and because of defendant’s demeanor when discussion of his case is attempted with him by his attorney, defendant’s attorney has a good faith belief that accused is unable to effectively assist in his defense due to a mental or physical condition,” the motion said in part.

In the motion Rey’s attorney asked that the court order a psychiatric or psychological examination of Rey in order to determine his competency to stand trial.

I am not surprised the attorney filed this motion. I am curious what they will find wrong with Rey.

Palm Springs police believe Rey murdered Ferel and illegally used his financial and personal information and belongings.

NOTE: All props to Gardener1850, who posted this in BREAKING NEWS thread late last week and I assumed it would be here too. Just carrying it over. The plot thickens.

Thanks AzPistonsGirl, but credit for the case update goes to Jewels53 who posted it first several pages back in this thread: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-20-Oct-2017-*Arrest*&p=13771202#post13771202

I just put it over in breaking news to get it more attention ;)
This case is scary. :scared:

OMG - How did I miss Jewels' post? What a dork I am. Sorry everyone... of course, any new eyes are always good, especially since this man has never been found. Tragedy abounds with this guy.

I pray the children get the medical help they need and that they never see this man in their life
