Circumstances of Disappearance
Ms Lancaster's employment involved her buying fresh produce from early morning markets and delivering it to restaurants, one of which was the Windsor Hotel in Albert Park, a suburb of Melbourne. Usually she was paid cash in advance for these purchases and was in possession of $1,300 cash when she disappeared. The night of April 19, 1985 she spent the evening socializing at the Windsor Hotel and subsequently gave a ride home to a male employee of the Windsor Hotel, dropping him off at the curb of his residence in Albert Park. This is the last known sighting of Ms Lancaster.
She was driving her yellow Mazda light truck registration number BWP414 , which has never been found.
A check of her residence showed that it, along with her bank books, clothing and passport remained undisturbed.
<<She was drinking alcohol through the night and left the hotel in company with an employee of the hotel, as she was giving him a lift to his address in Albert Park. The male states that Ms LANCASTER was driving her yellow Mazda light truck registration number BWP 414. He states that she just dropped him off outside his address and that she kept driving>>
