It’s no wonder he had security gates.

Wildenstein neighbour John Haetzler has had a two decades long feud with the S‘s who accused him of shooting birds, which he vehemently denies, and had an AVO out against JS after they had a confrontation

Dark past of luxury estate at centre of CM murder

but the police say it has nothing to do with C. Oh really.
All that means is that there's no direct link, i.e. the material does not depict the victim. The police almost always say this if they find material that's incidental to the case. It certainly may become part of the prosecution's case.

If only this gun theft had been known about and charged sooner - they wouldn't have been allowed to take poor little CM anywhere at all :( My heart breaks for the grandmother, I can't imagine what on earth she must be going through.

I wonder if the mum has now been charged to 'encourage' her to give evidence against JS in her daughter's murder case.

If JS has made formal statements implicating her, the authorities would have no choice but to charge her even if it may not suit their agenda as a whole. Also it doesn't mean she's guilty of it until tried and convicted.

To my imagination, it may indeed not suit the prosecution agenda to rope her into this crime as they'd probably be wanting a clear cut conviction of JS. However, possibly this leans towards the idea she may have been involved a bit more in the death / cover up ?

Conversely, I think charges may have been laid to give them some bargaining power with the mum.

I think there would have to be proof that mum was with JS during the theft. Otherwise he could pretty much say anyone was with him, and they would be charging another person on a convicted felon's word alone.

Yes I guess they must have some form of evidence or a credible witness that suggests her involvement.

The wording used in the news suggests to me that KM was possibly asked to attend the Police Station for questioning over the matter.... not that she was immediately arrested and charged. So perhaps the LE did not have concrete evidence? I wonder if she admitted to the charges then. IMO

'A 39-year-old woman attended Campbelltown Police Station on Tuesday where she was charged with aggravated break and enter in company.'

I wonder why anyone would accuse anyone of shooting birds when they aren't?

The neighbour, Mr Haetzler, would’ve been seen carrying a firearm, which is his right to do so. It’s JS Snr who took issue with Mr Haetzler shooting on his own property, sadly, unbeknownst to Mr H, JS Jnr had an interest in illicit drugs, firearms and thieving!
There are increasing numbers of foxes in the mountains, I’ve seen 2 on my property recently and even one in Catalina Park, in town! They’re beautiful creatures, as are rabbits, but not if you keep chickens, small animals and pets. Mr H could be shooting shotgun pellets into the air to frighten off birds though, his fruit trees would attract them for sure!
JS Snr was concerned for the wildlife or maybe, about disturbing guests visiting the property, it’s pretty inconsiderate considering his neighbour runs a farm/orchard, no wonder the magistrate ruled in Mr H’s favour.

As Webbie2021 mentioned back in May..... the LE found the 2 guns and ammunition in bushland near Mt Wilson on 3rd Feb, yet they waited until 19th May to charge JS with the various offences associated with the guns and ammunition. And now, they have waited over 5 months to charge KM. I wonder why the long wait?

JS & KM have now both been charged with aggravated break and enter in company, from the same matter in August 2021. These charges could mean that they did any of the following....
  • If you inflict actual bodily harm
  • If you have a weapon
  • You use corporal violence
  • Being in the company of another person
  • If you deprive someone of their liberty
Must have been terrifying for the occupants of the house they broke into, especially now knowing the charges that lie in front of JS. IMO

The police could have found her fingerprints at the property and on the firearms, they’d have to charge her then. Maybe, 2 sets of footprints were found too, one considerably smaller, a woman’s? This’d be on file/collected evidence at scene, just waiting….
I imagine the local police would’ve taken this robbery quite seriously due to weapons stolen. I wonder if JS was a likely suspect? It’s difficult to prove when he moved around a lot and has alibis.
These sort unfortunately can get an alibi at the drop of a hat. :/

And of course, as well as the grandmother's heart broken for C, it must also be broken for her own daughter, who has turned out so badly. That poor lady.

Maybe mum has now had their baby, and so the police laid the charges now.

imo

Tomorrow, 4th August, both JS and KM have court cases listed on Lawlink.

JS has breach of bail case at Downing Street, Sydney (Return of Subpoena)
KM has aggravated break & enter in company charges at Campbelltown Court (Mention)

Thats what I’ve been thinking ~ possibly the authorities have been keeping the unborn child safe and keeping KM well until the baby is born. I’m almost certain the baby would be removed from her at birth.

This DT article gives the result of mum's court hearing yesterday, as referenced by Marg944 above.

Mum will stay on conditional bail at a Campbelltown rehab centre, until her next court appearance.
The guns that were taken in the alleged B&E were "a bolt-action magazine fed BSA .22 calibre rifle and a Winchester Lever Action 3030 rifle".
Police are not saying if either of these weapons was used in CM's murder, just that the murder weapon was a small calibre firearm and that CM suffered one shot.
Mum did not appear for her hearing, and has not yet entered a plea.
Next court appearance for her (a mention) is at Katoomba Local Court on Monday 22nd August.

Nothing about JS' court hearing is mentioned.

Well so much for the notion of trying to keep her unborn child safe until it was born. imo.

What do you mean? She is safe in rehab, no? If KM was say 4 mths pregnant by Xmas then that baby is likely born and already removed
JMO MOO but here in the UK in those circs it would have been put on the at risk register after 24 weeks gestation and she would have been closely monitored

I mean if she had a need to be in rehab, then it has the appearance that her addictions are not under control, and her baby was subjected to risk and danger, imho.
