I had that question in my head too, would it be easier to come forward and lighten your load if the person you're confessing about is out of the country? Likely much easier and possibly anonymous.
TIMING.
Or, perhaps while you're out of harms way, give us a call, we can protect you when you return?

Karen Ristevski of Avondale Heights, in Melbourne's north-west, was last seen leaving her home on Wednesday morning, wearing a black blazer, jeans and carrying a silver handbag.
She works in retail at the Watergardens Shopping Centre but did not turn up for work at the family business.
Senior Constable Ante Sandric said Ms Risteveski has health problems but her family is worried because her disappearance is out of character.
"Our main concerns are that she hasn't been seen since leaving her house at about 10:00am on Wednesday," he said.
"Family haven't been able to contact her and she hasn't turned up to work and this is highly irregular."
Ms Ristevski's mobile phone is turned off and police said they had very few leads about her disappearance

I don't find the Google searches incriminating if they happened after the crime. If you or someone close to you were the chief suspect, you'd have an interest in forensic affairs regardless of whether you were guilty.

If before . . . it might depend how long before. We all ask Google so many things, don't we? I think my web browsing history over the years could link me with tens of thousands of subjects I don't even remember having passed through my mind.

Me thinking aloud, sorry for re-hash. The only thing that stops B&S from talking and cooperating with the police has to be the fact that their stories don't match the evidence. Police are not scary if you are innocent of having nothing to fear. If the perps had played the it was accidental card, then the key events leading up to KR's death and the injuries she sustained would have been easily ascertained. And if they weren't then obviously they could have been implicated immediately -so there is only one option, delay the timeline and hide the crime. Then stop talking, because if the stories of the two are not identical the police are not going to stop questioning.

Why take Karen's car? Was BR planning to Uber in the days after her death, so couldn't sully his car?

I wonder if those health problems were real ... or created along with the rest of the illusion? "She has been really distressed and befuddled lately, it has been making her act strange."

As I said before, I question anything that man told police. Including that her (marriage) family were worried by her out of character disappearance. More worried that they were - and are - going to get busted, more likely.

My web history is diabolic no doubt, having been on this forum and googled a million weirdo things, but depending on the nature of the KR crime the googling could go toward pre-med.

I recall that Borce was going to Uber that afternoon.

Notice my BBM ... a significant time, hey?
Uber has launched an urgent internal investigation into whether Borce Ristevski, the husband of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski, drove for the ride-sharing company on the day his wife disappeared.
The source said Mr Ristevski returned to the couple’s home, which backs on to the Maribyrnong River, about noon, and received a request to drive for Uber later in the afternoon.

However, it is not clear whether he took the job.

Using Karen's car and disposing of her body during the day don't seem like obvious choices if this crime was well planned.

I was also thinking about the self defence angle. If Karen went ballistic, why was this not given as a reason for her untimely death?

"She came at me with a knife, a struggle ensued, unfortunately the worst outcome then happened"
"She came at me with her fists, I pushed her back, she hit her head"

.... whatever.

The evidence may not have supported self defence.

Well I guess there is always the possibility that you could take your missing/murdered/accidentially killed wife's car for a spin up the Calder and run it by a few cctv's. Phones on phones off in a certain area but not the exact area where she was located. Say you had forgotten about all of this and by joe you would look very guilty. Guilty enough for you silk to say you were a suspect.
Someone mentioned misdirection up thread.

Maybe someone in another car took a different route.

We still do not even know if Karen even made it home the evening before, after having had that bad day at work.
I for one am not hanging on to Borce's version of anything.
imo

Sarah going OS maybe to avoid Melbourne's cold weather.
It certainly affects me.
The cold does affect our moods, in many cases (Seasonal Affective Disorder and its many varieties).
They are a family, perhaps supporting one another through everything.
We all do this 'in our own ways': parents, siblings, in laws.

Hi everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.

Not sure if this has already been questioned, but is there a possibility that SR is being covered for by BR?

Just a thought that popped up in my mind last night after all of this new information.
She apparently was having heated arguments with mum.
Those iPad key words seem like they come from someone younger who was googling away.
Wouldn't take that phone call from Hili as was apparently too distraught? (Seems a bit odd it you were worried about your mother)
Refuses to talk with police.
Her overall behaviour seems a bit strange.
Going away overseas with a friend with the one year anniversary coming up?

Say SR and KR had an argument about finances and she was accidently pushed down the stairs ending in an unfortunate situation.
Then the father protecting his daughter decides to take the brunt. Covering all tracks and wanting to keep his daughter safe and in uni, full life ahead etc etc etc.

In no way am I pointing any fingers.
Was a mere thought that popped up in my head.

GBC's successful appeal against his murder charge was that the jury/prosecution hadn't proved that GBC hadn't 'accidentally' killed his wife in an argument. Thankfully that appeal was overturned and the bad scout is still doing time-even though not enough. My point is though, things have to be VERY flukey and freaky to accidentally kill a person. Some people in a rage get violent, especially if under the extreme influence of drugs and or alcohol, but to get to a point where your actions lead to a loved one's death is drastic, beyond what most of us can fathom. I just can't see how if Karen's death was accidental that you don't call 000 for an ambulance. I don't know anyone who has witnessed or been in the vicinity of a car accident who hasn't rushed to help and phoned 000.

I'm with you, I don't think it was accidental. There were clues on her body that couldn't be explained away by a fall or slip and a knock to the head, so her body had to be disposed of and the killer played for time. It has worked to a degree, the killer is free but not for much longer.
Karen might have been killed in the wee hours of the morning, plenty of time for the killer to think and plan. Sarah isn't a suspect and I don't think she'll be charged with any offence.
She may not have been at the house for a few nights but she probably suspects her father but won't give him up. Maybe, there are clues she won't reveal like a bedspread her mother liked which has disappeared, or there was evidence of a big clean up, a smell of disinfectant or bleach when she entered the house that morning/afternoon? Many children 'know' things and still won't speak, it's very common.
Did her father change his account about the time period Karen went missing? If her father is an habitual liar, she'd be used to his changing stories especially in front of her to other people. A child becomes accustomed to the lying and would never question for fear of reprisal. She's an adult child and sometimes they're even more frustrating because they know what they're holding back.

Imo, BR did this alone and big brother was and is in protective mode, deflecting and taking the heat. Maybe, he took care of the handbag/phone or not even that just providing stories of Karen going overseas while she was listed missing. BR could carry a body slung over his shoulder? The fear and adrenaline rush would give him extra strength.

BR is a coward and a manipulator and will choose the GBC route and deny any wrong doing. Sarah might already be distancing herself from her father, I think the same is happening with Sharon Edward's sons.

I would think that the with it approaching one year since her mothers death. That would have more affect on her mood then the cold Melbourne weather.
I am assuming she will be back to support her father, they seem so close.
My thoughts are with Karen's brother and the William's family they need and deserve answers.

Perhaps he had to use the Mercedes to avoid detection transferring her from the house to the car, rather than arousing suspicion by changing cars around etc. My feeling is he had to work quickly that morning. Just guessing.

And Karen deserves justice. By all accounts, she was a lovely, gentle, kind lady. A mother, a grandmother, a daughter, an aunt, a niece, a friend. She mattered to many people.

Uber drivers keep their cars pretty spotless. I think it is a company requirement. My SIL does a little Uber driving from time to time, out of his fulltime job hours. He even keeps mints in the rear seat drink holder for his clients.

I don't at all mind being in the back seat of that vehicle when I go out with them. :D

I personally think Borce took Karen's car due to her DNA likely being all over the place (boot included), and it kept his car squeaky clean so he could get on to that afternoon Uber alibi.

That's if he did the disposal then. I think he may have hid her and came back later as their appears to have been calculation in choosing the spot between the two trees. She wasn't found for a long time, so it was successful in that respect. If he was back by midday he must have been in a bit of a hurry!

Yes, I'm thinking the Uber car may have already been out of the garage even ready to go....and blood splatter may offend!

That was my point with the BBM in a previous post. Was he back by midday? Or is that another lie? It seems his phone may not have gone back into action until 2pm ... perhaps for an Uber request.

I wonder who 'the source' is that said that Borce said he was back by midday. As police evidently think/know that he wasn't.

People who were in the Diggers Rest, Gisborne or Mount Macedon areas, particularly in the vicinity of the Macedon Regional Park, Mount Macedon Golf Club or Mount Macedon Road at about midday on Wednesday June 29 and who may have seen a vehicle similar to the Mercedes are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Maybe he was giving himself an alibi considering he initially said he hadn't been anywhere. JMO

Has there been any positive proof, photo image, that it was BR driving KRs car that day to test the alleged faulty fuel gauge, do we know?

Sent from my SM-T550 using Tapatalk
No, Not that we have been shown.
We only have his words which he admitted to driving the car between the hours he said that morning. Together with phone pings matching up in the area. Now cops need, I'm assuming clear image of at least half a number plate as final proof it was Karen's car.
