AR the connection to Diggers.
VR the connection to Toolern Vale.
Who or what is the connection to Mount Macedon?

I have been looking at things to do in Mount Macedon. Articles say that it is a good place for a little weekend trip, grab a bite to eat, visit Hanging Rock, visit the gardens, visit the wineries close by, there is a brewhouse close by . It also has a great outlook over the city.

Is it possible the family sometimes visited there for short getaways? Or maybe an Uber driver would take people there who wanted to visit ... who were maybe staying at the hotel for the weekend? There may even be AirBnB accommodation there, too.

My opinion is BR killed Karen at home.
It wasn't meticulously planned but it was no accident either.
It was end of financial year, a stressful time, there was the prospect of her leaving him and the possible promise of life insurance if he got away with it.
I think he killed her, put her in the boot of the Mercedes SLK and drove her body out to Mount Macedon where he placed her in that makeshift grave by himself.
I think he then disposed of her bag/phone/wallet somewhere around those early search areas (Gisborne, Toolern Vale).
I don't think anyone else is involved.
It is the most simple version of events but in my opinion the most likely.

I agree, Oona. The KISS principle usually applies to most crimes.

Sounds a lovely place to get away SA.
With a friend, a partner or a companion.

I wonder if any family live or have lived up that way.

I go to mt macedon often for day trips with my family... beautiful scenery especially during autumn. Families near me also go on very cold days as they sometimes get a little bit of snow (i live around 30-40 mins away). I think you'd need your own car to look at stuff or maybe they do organised tours in the area. Doesnt mesn people that just live around there havent used uber though

The first photo attached comes from this Herald Sun article, which was posted tonight : http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...o/news-story/e393203d4553726b8304a9bea605e68a

It shows SES volunteers engaged in today's search.

Unless the photo is staged, it appears the kneeling SAS member has found something quite interesting, and it passing it to a colleague. I've attached a picture zoomed in on the object.

Is is it just me, or does this look like it might be a mobile phone viewed edge-on?

EDIT : As pointed out below, it is more likely to be a torch.

I was wondering, if they do arrest br, he compelled to give any statements or explanations? Or can he just remain silent

Hmm.

IMO I think Sarah is involved because no information has ever been released regarding her movements. IF she was innocent, I would imagine it would of been said that she was not present on the day in question, her name would be removed from the equation early on..

In all this time, we still do not know the last time she spoke or saw her mom.

I imagine that if I was in her situation, I would be shouting it from the rooftops, when I saw her last and what our last words were, to bring a sense of humanity and connection to it.

It is all very robotic and desensitized from love and caring.

Looks to be a small torch (flashlight) being passed to the person looking into the drain pipe IMO

I believe that he can remain silent. His top criminal lawyer will ensure that any mandatory legal obligations are fulfilled, such as search warrants, court-ordered DNA swabs, etc ... though probably with as much resistance as possible. imo

You must give your name and address but otherwise you have the right to silence. This means you do not have to answer any other questions and can make a ‘no comment’ interview. The police cannot use this against you.

You can remain silent or say ‘no comment’ even if you spoke to the police officer before the interview. It will not help your case when you answer some questions but not others. When you stay silent or say ‘no comment’, do that for every question.

If you do say anything, be very careful when answering questions in a recorded interview. Whatever you say can be used against you later. The police will ask you questions from their angle. Your point of view might not be recognised. That is why the police have to caution you. You can always tell your side of the story at a later date, preferably through your lawyer.

While my money is on Boris. I like you feel Sarah is involved or at the very least knows what, when, why and how.
I just can not shake the I am an only child and she just went ballistic from someone that was too distressed to speak to her mothers friend after having text her.
imo

Yes, she knows or highly suspects what happened, could probably help the police quite a lot. I think she doesn't want to 'get involved'. Poor Karen. :(

I'm leaning away from SR being involved due to her overseas holiday, would police have allowed her to leave the country if they thought she was involved in any way?

As a general rule, there are no 'Miranda' rights in Australia. However, there is an obligation on Police to caution a person that their statements may be used in evidence, hence they may remain silent and let their high priced criminal lawyer do their talking for them.

The witness said a lone male was seen near the car at a location roughly 1.5km from where Ristevski’s remains were later found.

A similar make of car was captured on CCTV earlier that day at a location between the Ristevksi’s home in northwestern Melbourne and where she was found.

There is no suggestion the car captured on CCTV or spotted in Mount Macedon was owned by Ristevski.

:floorlaugh: no suggestion it was her car? It's highly probable! I think those lawyers have got ppl running scared.

Mt Macedon is a common day trip for people around here. Up the Calder is the quickest way to leave suburbia behind.

I think they'd have to let Sarah leave unless they were prepared to charge her. I mean it would have to be pretty serious suspicion to put stops in place. We also have extradition agreements with Vietnam. That said I think at worst she has knowledge after the fact. Time away from her dad could be beneficial for her future cooperation or Borce wavering without support.

Police can't stop her as she has not been charged with a crime. However if BR tried to leave the country, seeing as he is a "prime" suspect, I reckon police would roll the dice with the evidence they have and arrest him. Then they could have the court order him to surrender his passport. IMO.

In this clip shows a 60 kilometre sign (built-up area) and many houses. It's rural, I wonder how many security cameras are installed around those houses or cars with dashcam or is that all too late? How long do the cameras store it?

Of course someone is going to look at an old fat guy squeezing out of a tin can. "What's he up to?" That car is a head turner....what was BR thinking?
