I would like to suggest, if I may, that it might help some of you to see how lack of communication can happen so easily in solving major missing persons and murder cases.

You only need to watch ABC Australian Story titled "The Man Behind The Morcombes" that aired on 20/7/2015 which is still available on their website.

It proves just how many mistakes were made by Police in the case of Daniel Morcombe and how a small town lawyer helped to solve the "biggest criminal investigation in Queensland history".

It just proves that police are only human and can make mistakes like the rest of us!

I have no doubt that mistakes are made and in some instances there is a lack of communication. Just look at the mistake that was announced in the Maria James case yesterday. As you say they are only human.

I just don't think that there was any lack of communication in this instance. The car was sighted and it doesn't seem to have been reported to Police at the time. Even if it was reported, the car wasn't missing and initially it wasn't even stated what car Karen owned or drove.

In addition, I doubt each Police officer has access to every single CS report each and every day, it would take some sort of genius to link these reports together in moments, even days. This is another reason why investigations take time, information has to be linked to each case from many many sources.

Oh that would be most satisfactory if he left his glasses behind and they confirm they were his. I would be ever so delighted. What super evidence that would be.

He seems to have a bit more of a beard thing happening these days, perhaps in an attempt to detract from his notoriety?? Imagine being BR doing the weekly groceries or nipping down to his local for a quiet one!!

CalliopeeGG.
Walking my dog, I might stroll around.
I'ld innocently strike up a conversation, when my dog stares at his new beard.

Kidding!!!
:jail: I'm a 'scardey cat', in case I'm taken in 'for obstructing investigation' and will not be able to follow Websleuths.

If the car was filmed at 11.12 at Digger's Rest, that means (according to google maps) he would have arrived in Macedon around 11.30. That only gives him half an hour to dispose of the body, before potentially being seen again at midday. I'm thinking he may still have had the body in the car and was looking for a potential dump site when he stopped on Childers Road.

My opinion is BR killed her by accident, maybe out of rage, I don't think it was pre meditated. He then took her some place other than where she was found. Then I think he moved her and VR was involved then imo. I don't think SR had any involvement. I think she would be feeling very stressed and prob knows deep down her dad is involved..

These ppl get so greedy that making money becomes their life. Showing off for what? What a waste.
Jmo imo

Perhaps just a small nip around the ankles from your doggy then on Websleuth's behalf!

Your photos are gold! I'll be interested in what you put up if there is an arrest! Are nude selfies allowed here?

I obtained my dog from the pound. She was badly treated.
She did 'nip people' initially.
We were checked out by 'powers that be'. All Ok, meeting me, seeing effort to help her.

Perhaps she'll revert to 'past instincts' for protection, from ??? anyone 'she is unsure of'.
They are 'so smart'.... smarter than many of us!!!

Given the searches and focus on Toolern Vale maybe he didn't go direct to Mount Macedon, perhaps he got rid of bag etc around Blackhill Rd then went north.

Police had honed in on the Gisborne area after Borce and Karen Ristevski’s phones were tracked to that region on June 29 — the day Ms Ristevski disappeared.
As with all murder investigations, police had been looking at locations which could be linked to the family or the person responsible for her death.

Dean said he spent “sleepless nights” wondering if it was connected to the Ristevski case and phoned Crime Stoppers on August 27.
“I was absolutely convinced that what I saw was unusual and could be related to Karen Ristevski,” he said............
On Monday, Dean approached police directly at the taped area of Loch Rd where the body was found.
“I would have no problem standing up in a court of law and repeating what I saw,” Dean said.
“I’m quite convinced.

Does Dean's sighting fit into this?

Good thinking! That would account for another half an hour or so. I've always thought he did something there. Would like to search that area myself, I really would! AJMOO

Maybe this new sighting of the Merc is from a different witness because Dean sees a truck bogged with two men.

Macedon resident Dean told police that in the days after Ms Ristevski disappeared, he saw two strange men matching the description of Borce and Vasko Ristevksi bogged in a small white truck on Salisbury Rd — about 200m from where the body was found.

“From their appearance I knew they were from Serbia, Macedonia, the Balkans. They certainly had an accent,” Dean said.
“I thought it was rather strange ... you’d go down there in a 4WD, you wouldn’t go down there in a car and you certainly wouldn’t go down in a truck.
“I had a conversation with one of them..(he) had that half-shaved, goatee sort of look.”

I've always been uneasy about Dean's account as neither man has a Balken "accent".

I've not noticed an accent either but they could when speaking to each other

Maybe. I was just thinking workman talk about what they may have seen and some are more suspicious/observant/curious than others.
I am not really getting why it took police this long to track down the he witness.

I wonder how long the merc stayed in Childers Road. Minutes a couple of hours?
Maybe both Dean and this other witness's description were similar.
imo

"I can confirm that the witness has made the observation in that last week of June, I can confirm that that observation has been articulated prior to the discovery of Karen's body and that we've only been in a position to speak to the witness in the last week or so."

He said the area had been searched previously when Ms Ristevski's body was found but "not in this amount of detail or precision".
No description has been provided of the man sighted by the witness.

Dean is right about this. The part where Salisbury and Loch join is not sports car material...
odd area for 2 men looking the resemblance of B and V to be bogged in a van.
