I suppose because Peerless is a cul-de-sac perhaps it's more conducive to friendly neighbourhood relations, especially if they have children.
Just curious, do we know what part of Peerless the focus of attention was on?[emoji848]

Bit of an update from me.

Very close friends live in Peerless. For those not local to the area back in the days when housing was getting built and empty blocks it was a local hang out to meet up with people in cars, some unsavoury stuff, some naughty stuff etc. It is known to locals only that have been in the area for 15-20 years.

The last two weeks police have been in Peerless, had it blocked off and been rather busy bees!!! There is a laneway that goes to the laneway near the Ristevski house.
The interesting thing about that court is that neighbours cannot see from their houses into the court as the houses face front on to get views of the city with longish driveways and they've been built in weird ways. Friend spoke to police, don't think they're far off now but rumour has it perhaps KR was taken or went up that walkway up to Peerless and was either put on the car or got into the car.
Mella, just wondering if you know what part of peerless the LE were focusing on? Thinking if it was the end that would favour KR coming up the lane from back of Oakley, and if it's the upper part would favour knowing someone in the street, or some other reason, I know not what ..... thank you Mella, for your brilliant update in the case, it has me intrigued [emoji847]

Thanks tmar, had a look at those posts ....you have a good memory .... I remember that poster had a lot of different theories, quite possibly one of 'em is right .... time will tell[emoji848]

Yeah alot were just theory based ideas thrown out there and then on Ants book blog FB page someone just wrote about an italian lover.....lol...then some random person commented and added the mafia bit .....

So not fact based at all.......strangely Ant didn't refute the poster who brought up an italian lover......but half think is reaching at straws along with the rest of us...

I considered that however the surrounding streets were just about empty in comparison.

emirates, I just want to thank you again for all that you do for us, and for Karen. :loveyou:

Well, for two weeks police were filming in there and had the entrance blocked off without even letting the residents know. They were concentrating on the walkway and right in front of it at the gap between the houses and path.
I will state also I know of the owner of the big house among other people and houses in the court. The house has been a work in progress for quite a few years and in case you were curious no major concrete work in the past year!

Do you mean this gap, mella? The one I have (badly) circled? I wonder if they did any luminol tests and gathered soil samples (is it ever too late for them?), as well as the filming.

What the heck happened there???

This is driving me batty!! Was Karen knocked down with his car? Was there repaired damage to his vehicle when it was inspected? Is that why Karen's car was used to go to Mt Macedon?

What have they seen on CCTV? What has the autopsy revealed about Karen's death? What did any residents of/visitors to Peerless Court see, and fairly recently (or not) remembered? Were the Peerless Court people the (only) ones that Borce asked if they had CCTV recordings of that day?

Is there blood evidence in Peerless Court? Skid marks? What is it?! :pullhair:

Those two black rectangles in your circle look like stormwater drains. Maybe something interesting in the subterranean world.

Yes, I was wondering that, too. Maybe some cameras went down those drains? Maybe that is the filming that was involved?

Wouldn't it be nice if Sarah has started talking?

Would indeed SouthAussie .....just had another thought, maybe something has been found by member of the public, causing LE to swoop in there, something belonging to KR [emoji848]

I think it is likely that Karen was murdered over money.

Possibilities:
She wanted to walk away from the endless business failures (was there a new potential failure in the works?)
She had more tangible assets than Borce
She wouldn't give Borce money to fritter away (gambling, another brilliant business scheme?)
She was tired of working and sharing with him, to the family's detriment
Other money reasons.

Money is the only thing that seems to get a rise out of Borce.

That house IS important to him considering he got rid of the shop but not the house.
Karen's plans didn't include him and there was no way he was about to lose half of the assets.

I'm hoping there was a confidant, either professional or friend who Karen confided in. That will come out in the trial.

Are they drains?
Was something be found in those?

mella your insider information is 24ct gold, a huge thankyou?

I have been trying to find out how wide stormwater drains are, in case the stormwater drains there became plugged with something this winter (Karen's bag/wallet/shoes/clothes/whatever).

It seems that they may be a maximum of 1200mm in diameter, in many instances a lot smaller, as far as I can see.

Also wondering if the council came to service the drain, and found something ... which made the police investigate further.

This doco is from Mooney Valley Council ... is that the council area where Avondale Heights is?

Our Drainage Maintenance team cleans 350km of storm water easements and 17,000 stormwater pits on a three year cycle.

Roads and footpaths throughout Moonee Valley are inspected proactively in line with our Road Management Plan. High used footpaths and roads are inspected yearly and all other roads and footpaths are inspected on a three year cycle.

We attend to requests for service which come in from the community and can range from road, footpath, pothole and kerb defects.

Would the stormwater go directly into the river?
I recall LE were specifically searching the river for the bag.

This is is amazing, who said they had a hairdressing friend who saw Karen walking that day?!?

WHAT A TURNAROUND! My head is spinning. I was dead sure Karen was murdered in the home and didn't go for that walk.

I am still thinking that maybe she didn't go for that walk. Maybe someone planted something in the drain (bag/wallet) to give the impression that Karen was murdered for a perhaps-falsified $850 and her bag was stuffed in the 'nearby drain'. (Nearby to the hypothetical mugging for the $850.)

If this was part of a planned falsified set-up - to steer the police in the wrong direction - some 'concealed evidence of a mugging' may be something that was planned also.

Possibly the planner of the murder thought that police would search drains a lot earlier. Along with the river and the riverside parklands.

I can't get out of my mind that a previous one-or-two-time poster said that this was a planned crime, according to sources that may be aware of that kind of detail. But the post was removed.

I just zipped down to Peerless. To give you an idea of how busy it can be there were 21 cars parked in the court area alone which consists of about 10 houses. The approach into Peerless was also quite busy several neighbours taking to each other. 30-32 Peerless appears to be fully built except for the front door which consists of a large timber board (not door) with a bolt on it.

Made by police (timber board with bolt)???

Yep that's the gap I'm talking about.

Also in reply to the previous poster also regarding the timber door with a bolt. No it's not from police.

I'll be seeing my friend tomorrow so I'll let you know of any updates over the last couple of days (if any).

Oh and Emirates, it's not unusual for that many cars to be in that court. Lots of Europeans with large families!
