Hi - first time poster here.

i just did some research on the property land title. There is a document available that has been lodged titled, 'Withdrawal of caveat'. Without paying a fee, I can't confirm who exactly withdrew a caveat and when, but this appeared to be the only document available with regards to a caveat on the property.

If this is correct, then what has been reported in MSM wouldn't be accurate, up-to-date information. This also means that there wouldn't have been a huge stressor involved for Karen by having had a caveat put on her property.

Melbourne Lass..... I apologize. ....I cant find the emotioncon thingy for a big welcome...

But my sincere welcome to the forum....

In reply to your first post...caveat or not...however it turns out...I personally think the finacial stress ....debt thing was a media blow up without much facts behind it......I don't think they were in any mess to be honest......

The 32-year-old told police on Friday: “I remember Karen often saying to me that once Sarah (her daughter) turned 21, she would be out of there, meaning she’d be leaving my dad”.

Sarah turned 21 earlier this year.

But Mr Rickard has claimed to police that Mrs Ristevski spoke numerous times about leaving.

He said his dad and stepmother had been having marriage problems.

How would he know they were having marriage problems if the family and AR were estranged as reported in another MSM article?

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/vi...y/news-story/0b07846ab2b3a778654c0a6ee67f533f

But the investigation has now taken a bizarre twist, as her estranged stepson claims the Ristevski family has for years hidden a secret conflict.

Makes me think someone is making up some wobbles.........why?.......why the wobbles?

If what BR said is true, that they had an argument about finances before Karen's disappearance, then there would have been some issue/s there regarding their financial situation. He stated there was an issue with the store figures.

Do you have any thoughts on that link?

Yes. My thought are:

1) Can an really you believe him?
2) Is it a curved ball he's throwing?

Partners can leave their marriages by staying with friends, family, lover or seeking other accommodation if they are in some fear or alternatively stay in the home and amicably separate.

The unusual thing is NOBODY has heard from her.
If she is a law abiding citizen surely she would make contact so the authorities would know.

That takes me back to the curved ball theory.

1) Who murdered Karen?
2) Where would a woman like Karen go to top herself?

Unless she did make it to work and was taken from the shopping centre car park.....an Uber driver grabbed her or Ol' Borce pushed her down the stairs....God only knows!

AR claims that he lived with the Ristevskis until the age of 22. Some may choose to believe what he says about the so-called 'family conflict'. What if there was another reason for his leaving and the estrangement? If that's the case, then maybe AR was feeling resentful about being asked to leave and found this to be the perfect time to get his own payback by going public with all his claims.

JMOO.

Welcome Melbourne Lass.
According to this they had been communicating, on what level is intriguing to me, for Karen to speak of leaving Borce.

In an extraordinary interview with the Herald Sun, Mr Rickard, who admits battling an ice addiction, says:

HIS father does not “have it in him” to kill;

MRS Ristevski, 47, would not *spontaneously walk off, but had *spoken in the past about making plans to leave the family;

HE phoned Mrs Ristevski about 10 days before she vanished, to *confront her about the family *conflict, which he says has been “swept under the carpet”.

I briefly considered - but discounted - the possibility that Karen may have fled to a women's shelter (for victims of family violence). Discounted because:
a) If there were family violence, why wouldn't she take her daughter with her to the shelter?
b) The police would surely have been informed of her whereabouts and that she is safe and well.
c) There has been no mention by family or friends about any knowledge they may have of suspected family violence.

I have doubts she would have committed suicide. We don't have much - if any - information as to her state of mind prior to her disappearance (besides angry, according to BR). But there's been no mention of Karen suffering from depression in the MSM. If she was so close with her daughter, as has been suggested in the recent WHO article, then why didn't Karen leave her daughter a note explaining her intentions, declaring her love for SR, and saying goodbye? Females usually attempt or commit suicide by overdosing on medication. Why wouldn't she attempt to do something like that at home instead of in the community?

IMO there is no way the husband is involved...look at his face when the reporter asked if he killed karen, there is no way he is involved, he was disgusted, not pissed off, I believe he would have reacted a lot worse would he have been involved + the son/step son would have hanged him should he have been involved. Watch this space folks to see where and when the appearance of Karen occurs

Thanks for the welcome, they'll get you.

Hmmm...

To me, reading this article, I got the impression that AR claims Karen had spoken in the past about leaving BR. How long ago in the past, if they were estranged? And why would she tell him? Also, if she had plans to leave, it wouldn't have been spur of the moment. Such things require planning. So why would she bother to argue with BR about finances if she was intending to walk out the door and never come back? And why wouldn't she confide in at least one close, trusted friend or family member about her intentions?

What do you mean, JD? Do you believe Karen is still alive and well somewhere?

I wouldn't put too much faith in what AR says, how can he speak with certainty about how Karen and Borce would behave if he's been estranged for many years.

Not saying it's not true but I'd want a more reliable source

So, getting to the heart of the matter: Is Mr Ristevski a suspect?

“He’s just another person we’ve spoken to ... keep in mind, he says to us he’s the last person to see her leave the house,’’ Inspector Dennis replies.

When The Australian visited Mr Ristevski on Thursday, he was a man deeply unhappy with his plight, switching rapidly from the curious to confrontational, an understandable reaction under the circumstances.
“Let me tell you something — you can’t even get your facts right,’’ he says before slamming the gate at his home.

Rather than walk the relatively safe suburban streets of Avondale Heights — roads that are monitored by scores of cameras — she seems, according to her husband’s story, to have simply glided into dead men’s country by the Maribyrnong River.

They have searched the house and three family cars forensically. Nothing. The river? Nothing.

At the Taylors Lakes store, staff member Amanda Elrabat, 24, says fashion was Ms Ristevski’s passion. The up-market boutique *caters for a wide range of ages and styles, including cocktail and formal wear. In June, it promoted a 50 per cent off clearance sale for selected items.

Speculation of foul play was unfair and the husband, Ms *Elrabat insists, would not have done anything to harm her.
“The shop is everything to her. She is an amazing boss: generous, caring, loving. She treated us (staff) like we were daughters,” she tells The Weekend Australian.

Ms Elrabat, who has worked at the store for four years, got to know Mr Ristevski and daughter Sarah and has hit out at what she claims is misinformation in the media, saying the Ristevskis were close: “She was happy and really bubbly with customers. She had her regulars that always come in, she treated them like friends.”
Mr Ristevski was strongly supportive of his wife, she says, and was always showing an interest in her clothing designs and helping out in the store. “He is an amazing person and he was always in here with her and helping her, even on quiet days,’’ she says.

Ms Elrabat adds that there was no sign Ms Ristevski was distressed or had depression. “Everyone has bad days but not like that,” she says.

A neighbour apparently asked police after the disappearance whether extra precautions needed to be taken in case there was a kidnapper in their midst. Amid the festival of rumours was the claim that there was no need to take extra care.

Really,

If the "Family Conflict" existed, You'd be wanting to keep the main person involved thinking you are their Ali to an extent.
Not completely alienating them and getting their back up & risking retaliation.

I think AR's story had to include some tit bits relevant to her disappearance now, eg 'Karen was intending to leave Borce once Sarah turned 21' in order for the paper to justify printing it, so let's just assume the whole thing was about money, AR getting paid by the papers, and the papers getting sales. I know people have said he wasn't paid, but reporters pay for stories all the time, even if it's just for the subjects time, I can't imagine AR selling his story for free to the first publication he talked to, I think he took the best deal he could find.

Thank you TGY, I thought that was an important comment. I think it's safe to assume that no matter the reason Karen is missing it's unlikely due to an unknown crazed psychopath hunting the streets of Avondale Heights.

So i'm assuming BR didnt have some "other" full time job.
