Their relationship didn't change much at all. The previous Company (Blue laser Jean Company) was closed down by BR as VR had no interest in the Company at the the time of closure, he had resigned as a Director. In doing so BR was able to escape debts with creditors. BR then started Warrant pty ltd.

Thats the business relationship, things could be different personally?

Is there somewhere we can see this - do you have a link?

So this $600k debt, has media got that completely wrong?

Just looking at street view of the house again. According to BR, KR left through the garage.
Unless the garage door was open at the time, it seems an odd exit choice. She would have had to open the remote garage door. (Mine is as slow as a wet week.)
Far easier to just walk out through the front door if you were leaving in a huff.

Some people like to exit this way to not have to lock doors behind them, I know a few households with this habit. The front door is deadlocked and rarely used.

I don't think KR is hiding out anywhere, in this digital age it would be extremely difficult not to leave a 'digital footprint' somewhere, and would require meticulous planning to avoid leaving such a 'footprint'. Suicide is the most likely but where is the body. A suicide is usually discovered not long after the event because most are performed in a place where the public do frequent, e.g. jumping off a bridge, hanging yourself, drowning yourself etc. Until a body is found and the cause of death verified, I think this case may well remain a bit of a conundrum.

Sorry forgot my manners :)

Further back someone wrote they lost money in the failed business, but that the debts were unsecured so it wasn't like they owed money once it was done and dusted. In February however, there was enough rent in arrears for the shopping centre to put a caveat on the home so at least one of the current retail shops is doing poorly.

I did a drive by of Warrant in some of my travels and while it is listed on the signage out the front of the industrial park, I am pretty sure there is another business in there now. Not sure what the state of play for Warrant in searches people have done. I would say that combined with the staff member saying he works in the store at times would suggest it is over too, I might have missed where that has been discussed.

I don't think so, the rag trade is cutthroat and it is not uncommon for small retailers to accumulate such large debts, what with the price of rental in some of these shopping centres. I believe that to be close to accurate.

I initially thought this was strange too, Oz Jen. But maybe not so strange if she wanted to get something from her car before going for that walk to "clear her head"?

Also, after some reflection, I think BR's statement of what Karen did prior to her disappearance is not so unbelievable in my opinion. They had the argument about the shop and the finances. She went upstairs (To get something? Maybe her handbag?). Then came downstairs and told BR she was going for a walk to "clear her head". Went out via the garage in order to get something from her car first? (What? Sunglasses? Earphones for her smartphone?)

I also don't think it's unfeasable that BR would know what brand handbag or purse she had since he works in the rag trade. Especially given that these items were not cheap. We also don't know that it was him that told the police what brand handbag or purse she had (maybe it was SR that told them?)

I personally have questions about the $850 she was reportedly carrying on her, which I know has been discussed on this thread before. What if that money was the store takings from the day before which might explain why BR knew the exact amount of the money, and also why she was not yet at work. Could she have been waiting for the bank to open with the plan to deposit the takings prior to going to work?

The fact that she was dressed ready for work and carrying her handbag does not preclude her for going for a walk, in my opinion. Not if she left after an argument wanting to clear her head. She might have been planning to come back after her walk and leaving straight for work in her car without going inside the house and risk seeing BR again. Especially if she was angry.

There is obviously a lot that we don't know. So this is all conjecture.

Their Personal relationship seemed ok

I'm curious, Armchair snoop, is your opinion based on what you've seen/heard/read in the media or is your opinion based on personal knowledge?

In thinking again of my first impressions of this case, which was the tv appeal.

Probably the reason why i kept following was my first thought was something is not right here,
Everyone in dramatic situations reacts differently and exhibits behaviour mirroring in some respects
what the mind is going through. Some people have a way of shielding this and not displaying a huge burden.

So in my opinion something is known to have happened either implicating them or knowledge of what occurred.

I agree. The town closest to me ... which in turn is about an hour out from a major city ... has a mall that's fighting with one of its tenants at the moment; along with all the kerfuffle that's been printed has been mention of the rent being $250k per annum. That's astronomical! And by the time you factor in staff wages, etc. ... makes me sick just thinking about it.

I agree something does not add up, there are a lot of contradictions.

Or ... the garage door may have already been open, so it was easier for her to exit that way? (It'd be less hassle if it was already open, as she would've otherwise had to go out the front door, down the path, through the gate [I know this from looking up the house address on Google Street Maps]...).

My neighbours seem to use their garage for everything except to park their cars, and they seem to leave it open whenever they're home. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
