The Barmah National Park covers 28,500 hectares and is about 225 klm from Melbourne. That is a lot of area to search, however, there is a boat ramp located at The Gulf in the park on the Murray River. Maybe the Police have an area they are interested in from the information they have received.
I believe VR has a boat parked in his driveway. Just saying.:thinking:

POLICE have ruled out a link between the Barmah National Park in Victoria’s north and missing Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski.
Police were aware Borce Ristevski and his wife had visited the area but do not believe the location will yield any clues which will help them solve the case.

Or the search was related, and the Herald Sun are wrong?

I was reading yesterday about the big cold case squad VicPol have, they were formed 1½ years ago - they are looking into 63 cold cases with new forensics etc. Maybe it was something to do with one of those cases?

I'm surprised that articles in the Daily Mail about Karen's disappearance aren't getting more than about three comments - it's just so strange. Compare that to the likes of William Tyrrell and the comments run into the hundreds. I think Stephanie Scott's article in the Daily Mail attracted a lot of comments too (when she was missing). What is so different about Karen's case (from the others) really?

It doesn't really surprise me that if someone saw something strange (someone moving a body; a car out of place) it wasn't reported - people just don't seem to care about others anymore and there seems to be an overwhelming attitude of not wanting to get involved in things. What a sad state things are in today.

No link as yet as I've only just seen it on Channel 9. A promo saying that AR "is demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars to tell the biggest story in the country".
