Maybe it was a request to drive TO Diggers Rest?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep, sounds more believable. Maybeeeee he and someone else + KR in the boot (sorry) drove up earlier when he was fixing the fuel gauge. He dropped this helper, im going to say VR and KRs body and had VR dispose of it. He drove back home and then got the uber msg? And went back and picked up VR?

This is going to be a long Saturday night.

I'd like to know more insight into Sarah's personality right now.
1) does she work?
2) does she consider herself a rich brat?
3) was she demanding of Karen?

Could Sarah be a demanding daughter who didn't get her own way and Borce is covering up for her.

The body language of Sarah in those interviews is 'different'. The no eye contact, the frown, eyes lowered, pout is just not sitting right with me.
I've said it before, she's 21 and not a kid.

Borce had a tight protective arm around her....was he shielding her or hiding behind her???

I'm jumping off your post to answer the question about Sarah driving the merc, Sarah has her own car, also she studies at RMIT I believe and doesn't seem at all like a rich brat, probably because they aren't really wealthy. My impression (which could be wrong) is that she's very close to her mum, is sweet natured if a tad naive, and perhaps slightly sheltered.

I am wondering if the phone ping times coincide with the time the Mercedes Benz was on the Calder.
According to Borce that would have been about 10:30am?

Thanks Oona. Perhaps I read it wrong. Where does the 12:00pm time slot come in? Is that when BR returned home? So what is BR saying,... that he received an Uber booking that was to go out along the Calder Highway where his phoned had pinged earlier that day? Why didn't his phone ping again when he was being an Uber?

Where has this Mercedes been all along?

  • #505
I would be so very amused if VR actually used Uber to request BR come get him from Diggers Rest after disposing of poor Karen's body, because who on gods green earth would pay their own brother for a lift EVER??

This is a screenshot from the Ch7 news report. It shows the placement of Toolern Vale dam in relation to the tower that Karen's phone pinged from (above) and the tower that Borce's phone pinged from (below).

Yes, Borce left around 10:30am, and arrived back around 12pm. The Uber call was reportedly in the arvo.
His phone was off for 2 hours sometime (unspecified) that day.

.... and not too long after 10 someone expecting Karen to arrive at work called him to alert him that she hadn't, so he leaves the house, drives north, and turns his phone OFF?

No wonder he's hired a top notch lawyer, he's going to need him.

Not sure about the 12pm. But Borce claims he went to drive the Benz on the Calder half an hour after Karen left the house.

"Borce Ristevski told police he went for a drive just half an hour after his wife, 47, left their Avondale Heights home in Victoria, on June 29".

That story about the Mercedes is pathetic, there is no way anyone who'd just found out their wife hadn't arrived as expected at work would decide to take her car for a run to check out a fault with it.

I think from when they asked AR re did his dad have any property or friends in Diggers Rest area they knew then who to target. I am sure info has been leaked to the press and the reporter was asked by police to put to BR did you kill your wife so they could read his body language. In his first statement he never mentions re driving Karen's car but then in 2nd statement he does which makes you wonder did he then realise a few days later that the police knew more than letting on when asking AR re Diggers Rest. I don't believe AR was used by BR in anyway as even a blind man wouldn't use AR to help cross the road as he's that lost.
BR asked a close neighbour on the day if they had cctv coverage, I think he was only worried cctv would show him leaving the property in a car and time stamped. Saying the police told him not to talk to the press was proven to be a lie and saying you took her car to check a gauge on it out when your wife hasn't returned from going for a walk to calm down doesn't add up.

Taking over the business from her a few months ago along with the homes cctv breaking down supposebly months ago I think it was planned a while back. Unfortunately it took a while for the police to consider possible murder rather than missing person which forensically lessened valuable time. Bad move BR taking both hers and your phones for a late morning drive but thankfully you did.

Not once have I considered he has shown a husbands true concern over what has happened to his wife. If he was out Uber driving in the afternoon knowing wife hasn't returned and he couldn't get her on her mobile he suspect as.

As as for the brother stating he thinks she has fled to China or the States on a false passport ha plenty of things are false and it's not a passport. I think he is involved but in later stages as the elevator doesn't go all the way to the top to be confident in using him from day one.

I think SR has concerns generated from the past but weighing them up against the possible outcome she is totally blocking them out.

No doubt when it all ends we will know more on what the police were holding back on while strengthening the case.

Dang Stevo! I think this is a very thorough consideration and for the most part I agree, hats off to you!

My guess is impounded. Along with a truck load of information and forensics.

Finally found the link that says he returned at around 12pm. (BBM)

But a source with knowledge of the investigation said that, in Mr Ristevski’s second statement, given at Victoria Police’s Spencer Street complex, he revealed he went for a drive in his wife’s car 30 minutes after she left the family home in the northwestern suburb of Avondale Heights.

Mr Ristevski, who did not answer calls yesterday, has said his wife left the house about 10am after an argument over takings at the couple’s shop, Bella Bleu, the previous day.

The source said Mr Ristevski returned to the couple’s home, which backs on to the Maribyrnong River, about noon, and received a request to drive for Uber later in the afternoon.

However, it is not clear whether he took the job.

Great post Steve!

A couple of things IMO...

The police probably didn't ask the media to question him about if he killed his wife. The media are very quick to throw out these types of questions/put 'suspects' on the spot because it aids their story. It was also common in the GBC case - there were a few female reporters in particular throughout that whole messy debacle that were excellent at putting pressure on GBC, planned and unplanned.

Also I have no doubt in my mind now, given what's been released, that the police were thinking homicide from day 1. They just can't officially declare it without further evidence. They are nearly always 10 steps ahead of us because they don't reveal all their cards to the public. And obviously they need to make sure they consider alternatives to murder as well, to avoid prejudice or miss other opportunities.

The MERC may be AR's mode of transport and AR is being framed by BR........Was it ever revealed what AR's vehicle was at the time of Karen's so-called disappearance ????........It could be that AR IS BEING FRAMED BY HIS FATHER FOR KAREN'S MURDER, hence the very very expensive lawyer BR has engaged....MOO..:jail:

Does AR even have a vehicle? Why would he be catching the bus places if he has a car?

Updating my previous post of Br's timeline

So if we try and place AR's movements inline with BR’s movements according to info received my them and news articles. Feel free to add/ adjust

28 June AR had an all nighter ranting till 4am on 29 June
29 June AR had a bunnings footscray check in on morning of 29 June before store opening hours

29 June KR supposedly takes off for a walk at 10am, BR sees her leave with a bag and wallet and $850. No mention if mobile phone or car keys with her. No mention that her car
keys were left at the house.

29 june BR says he last saw her at 10am

29 June BR says he used KRs car at 10:30am (30mins after he last saw her, according to his second police statement) to test a faulty gauge (so at this stage is he not
concerned that his wife is missing) we assume Karen has left the keys for him.
So if he drove the car up Calder at 10:30 and got as far as diggers rest - 20 min (21.5 km) via Calder Fwy/M79. Sources say he returned about 12 noon

So if Karen was expected at work that day, she would be travelling to work with BR’s car seeing as he had her car.

29 June Bella Bleu staff call BR later that morning to advise KR had not shown up for work. Would love to know what time staff started calling KR and BR mobile.
So if KR was expected that morning, and BR was testing her car out, then we will assume BR was giving KR his car

29 June BR makes frequent phone calls to KR on her mobile without getting a reply (would love to know where the phone pings on BR’s mobile for these outgoing calls
originate from?)
But he still thinks its ok to take her car out for a test drive that day

29 June BR supposedly received a request to drive for Uber later in the afternoon. Not sure if he took the job

29 June BR knocks on neighbours doors checking if anyone has CCTV cameras A neighbour today said Mr Ristevski asked about CCTV cameras around the time of his wife’s
disappearance. “He introduced himself calmly, but worried look... Saying my wife has just gone missing,” the neighbour said

29 June AR rants recommenced 1ish (i think)

29 June AR visits a local pharmacy (dont recall time)

29 june KR phone was travelling on the calder freeway that day. Phone ping detected 40km north on calder freeway (gisborne vicinity) that day

29 june BR phone ping detected on calder freeway in Diggers rest

29 june BR phone switched off for two hours.

So assume BR’s phone was on late morning b/c that’s when Bella Bleu staff were able to reach him. And also he was calling KR’s phone.

Could his phone have been off for the 2 hours - so that he wouldn't receive an Uber request? (not sure how the app works)

So, with phone off, and no uber requests, means he isn't hired to drive someone else - because he knew he needed to be hired later in the afternoon?

I asked a driver how it works just last night, he told me you can make yourself 'available' or 'unavailable' through the app, and would not need to turn off your phone.

You just need the app closed to not receive requests. My mum is an uber driver. Phone may have been off to avoid detection/pings. Unfortunately he didn't know about new technology that can ping when phone is off.
