The aunt of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski thinks her niece has been murdered and has angrily dismissed theories of other family members that she ran away.

Patricia Gray has appealed for information to help locate Ms Ristevski, whom she believes has been “discarded like a piece of *rubbish”.

Her comments follow the emergence of fresh clues in the case, with telecommunications data revealing Ms Ristevski’s phone was “pinged” on the Calder Highway 40km northwest of Melbourne several hours after her husband, Borce Ristevski, said she left their Avondale Heights home to go for a walk.

Correct me if I'm wrong but would a childs bond be greater with their mother then with their father. If the answer is yes then I feel extremely sorry for poor SR. The pressure and stress she must be going through. The thoughts that must be going through her mind, Oh my God. I hope she is being taken care of and her mental state is being closely monitored.

I don't think you can generalize. Often a daughter feels closer to the father, a son to the mother. Sometimes it's the reverse.

Yeah, she looks a strong woman alright--a no nonsense type of woman. I like that! I aint getting the impression she is angry with BR though. He's never said Karen "ran away". That was VR and AR. Maybe she's suspicious of them, not BR. :thinking: MOO

Correct me if I'm wrong as a parent (and from various books I have read) ....I'm sure you have heard the phrase "mummy's boy" and "daddies girl". I have noticed that boys are very close to their mums up until their early teens, likewise with females close to their dads. Once the teenage years merge into early adulthood the balance starts to shift back again...moo. My thoughts go to young Sarah.

I have been wondering if BR followed Karen when she left the house for her walk.......He caught her and they went in Karen's Merc to Diggers Rest to sort things out about EVERYTHING with AR........Huge argument developed (AR's broken hand)........Karen was accidentally killed at Diggers Rest (my first thoughts were that she was killed at her home, but I have changed my mind)......Shovel taken from her home & soil tested for forensics........BR took Karen's body & he told AR to stay there at his house so that AR could not know the precise location where Karen's body was buried.......We need to remember that AR told police that he couldn't remember what he did on 29 June (lies - all the drama was happening at Diggers Rest???)........BR is the only person who knows where Karen's body is, as he acted alone for the burial......It's possible her body may never be found, with that vast area of bushland around the Diggers Rest and surrounding areas......I don't know if VR is involved at this stage...MOO...:thinking:

I think that magic tipping point was reached - boy that feels like soooo long ago now! Probably a combination of factors - I think they were just digging and digging, investigating and piecing it all together until that magic moment when the powers that be decided there was enough evidence to suggest a conviction would be possible, if not likely. When did the plant matter analysis come back - was that after his arrest or before - my memory is not playing nice today!

Afterthought....I think the contact with the life insurance co. pre and post Allison's death teamed with financial forensics was a big part of this - MOTIVE!

In general I'm not sympathetic to theories of accidental death where the body has been moved and hidden.

I'm pretty sure the plant forensics came back well after the arrest.

'THE husband of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski has reportedly told family she may have been abducted by a stranger.

The Herald-Sun says it’s understood her husband Borce has told relatives his theory about the mysterious disappearance of his 47-year-old wife.'


'Mr Ristevski alleged theory comes as telecommunications data emerged over the weekend showing Mrs Ristevski’s phone was detected in a series of pings on the Calder Highway, 40km northwest of Melbourne, several hours after her husband said she left their home to go for a walk.

Mr Ristevski’s phone was also tracked on the highway, about 20km from their home. The data suggests his phone was switched off for two hours that day.'


'Anthony Rickard, Mrs Ristevski’s meth-addicted stepson, recently made wild claims on Facebook that he had an affair with his stepmother and they had plans to run away together.'


'Police have grave concerns for Mrs Ristevski, despite her brother-in-law suggesting she could have run away. It was reported he believed she ran away to China or the US using a fake passport.

I guarantee the police have spoken with the mechanic.
The mechanic might have known about the problem prior but was he aware Borce was going to him & was there an appointment?

Would the mechanic lie for Borce? He might if he was a good friend.

The thing about it happening at Diggers Rest it looks like AR lives in a unit that would be joined to other units surely raised voices from that time would have someone speaking out now?

My thoughts keep going back and forth and I feel like I have no idea now.

My head is so confused over this case, today before my other half went to work, I said to him, remember this so and so is covering up for so and so in the Karen case if it all comes out, remember I thought that.
